Samsung’s latest smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge, both support wireless charging straight out of the box. This is one of the advantages of the unibody construction which doesn’t allow the user to swap batteries when they please. Regardless of that obvious downside, wireless charging is a feature that many Samsung fans have been waiting for, and now its finally here. Both devices can be charged with any existing Qi wireless charger but the company will be offering a round wireless charging pad. A Canadian carrier has revealed pricing for this accessory.
According to Fido the round wireless charging pad for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge is going to cost $59.99 in Canada. Fido revealed the price through a tweet which was later pulled but the folks at MobileSyrup were able to capture a screenshot before it faded into oblivion. The tweet also mentioned that Fido will provide the $59.99 value wireless charger for free to customers who purchase the Galaxy S6 through it.
