Consumer Reports believes that you should choose the Galaxy S5 instead of the Galaxy S6

Many people still diligently follow Consumer Reports’ advice when they’re in the market to purchase a new device but those who are tech savvy are likely to make decisions by judging the pros and cons on their own. Not everyone will agree with Consumer Reports’ recommendations because some of the reasons they cite no longer matter to most users, for example the site wouldn’t recommend for a long time that customers buy the iPhone because it doesn’t have a removable battery. It has now set its sights on the Galaxy S6 and recommends that customers don’t go with Samsung’s latest flagship, they should purchase the Galaxy S5 instead.

Why does Consumer Reports say that when the Galaxy S6 has a better design, build quality, power package and user experience? Well, it doesn’t have a removable battery, a water resistant body, and a microSD card slot but all of these features are present on the Galaxy S5. Consumer Reports itself agrees that some people won’t care if they no longer have the option to remove the battery while this will be a dealbreaker for others. However for precisely this and the aforementioned reasons it would rather have customers purchase the Galaxy S5 instead of the Galaxy S6.

At the end of the day the ball is in the customer’s court. It’s your money and you’re going to have to live with that device. Weigh all of the pros and cons yourself to find out which device suits you best, and if it makes sense to you, forget about what everybody else says.
