[Poll] What Galaxy Note 7 color shoud you pick?

The Galaxy Note 7 is an impressive smartphone, chock full of the latest technologies and software features. A lot of you are probably waiting for the moment you can pre-order Samsung’s latest flagship in your country; some of you might already have decided on the color you want, but we’re sure some of you are wondering which Note 7 color would be the best to go with. Well, we’re here to help.

The Galaxy Note 7 will be available in silver, gold, black and blue. Let’s start with black. This is probably the most traditional color option for any smartphone; I’m not sure about others, but I find black to be the sexiest color of them all. Plus, with a device like the Note 7, which many will use for watching videos, black is the only color that will recede into the background and let you put full focus on Samsung’s beautiful Super AMOLED panel. Since there is no white color option this time around, black is also the best bet to make sure those fingerprints on the phone won’t be easily visible.

Gold and silver are the worst when it comes to showing you your fingerprints in all their glory, and blue is probably going to be similarly bad. But while the black can be sexy, gold, silver and blue are what you should get if you want a phone that looks beautiful (of course, what is sexy and what is beautiful can be a subjective thing). In fact, that Blue Coral Note 7, which comes with a golden metal rim, is just amazing to look at when you talk about the beauty factor. For those who want their phone to look both stylish and a thing of beauty, the silver color would be the right pick.

What about scratches, those little annoyances that Samsung’s glass and metal build picks up quite easily? Well, the black Note 7 should be the worst at bringing those scratches to the fore, but conventional wisdom doesn’t always work when it comes to phones. The black Galaxy S7 edge was less impervious to visible scratches than the silver, and that will probably be the case with the Note 7 as well. Of course, no color will let you hide those scratch marks if light is hitting the phone at the right angles.

Choosing the right color for a new phone can be confusing, and in the end it all comes down to your preferences. But each color has its own pros and cons, so here’s the basic gist: Grab the black Note 7 if media consumption is your top priority, Blue Coral if you want a unique color that really brings out the beauty of Samsung’s premium glass design, or the silver for a futuristic look. I’m not sure what to say about the gold version. It will make for a flashy color as tradition would dictate, but I think the blue Note 7 makes the case less compelling for the gold Note 7.

There’s also the fact that some of these colors might not launch in every market. This actually makes the choice easier; if your favorite color doesn’t show up in your region, you will, however, have to first get over the disappointment that would bring. We have heard the Blue Coral option will launch worldwide, but at this point we’re not going to be too happy unless Samsung confirms the same.
