Samsung rolling out Nougat for the Galaxy S7 to some users

Samsung allowed members of the Galaxy Beta Program to test beta builds of Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The company ended the program late last month and said that it would try and release the update to the public in January. We’ve come across reports that Samsung is rolling out Nougat for the Galaxy S7 to a small number of users, it appears that the company is conducting a soak test ahead of the full-scale rollout.

This particular build bears version number G935FXXU1DPLR and features the January Security Patch. Bear in mind that since Samsung will not be releasing any more beta builds, this might just be the final build that the company will release to the public hopefully in the near future.

Are you one of the lucky few that appear to have been selected for this soak test? Do let us know in the comments below. If you’re interested in finding out about the improvements that Samsung has made in this update check out our What’s New With Nougat series.
