The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) approved a selection of design patents pertaining to three mysterious products on Tuesday: two smartphones and Gear Icon X-shaped case.
Unfortunately, the documentation doesn’t provide any information about the products. The only details we have are the ones included in the sketches — so clearly, there isn’t much to go on.
We should note, however, that Samsung regularly patents designs it toying with and the majority of them never see the light of day, and based on the peculiarity of this latest batch, we don’t expect them to either.

What’d you think we’re looking at? We’re guessing the first is a variant of the Galaxy Note 8 that supports a 360-degree camera attachment and we think the second is a dual-screen flip phone. We’re not sure about the third, though.
