Galaxy J4 live pictures surface

We haven’t seen any leaked renders of Samsung’s upcoming mid-range handset so far and we don’t need to wait for them anymore as the first live Galaxy J4 images have likely surfaced online. The device has been submitted to the National Communication Propagation Committee of Taiwan for approval and the first live pictures of the Galaxy J4 have surfaced on the agency’s website.

We have seen increasing evidence over the past couple of weeks which suggests that an official launch of the new Galaxy J series may not be that far off. The official support pages of the Galaxy J6 were spotted last week so it appears that Samsung might make an official announcement soon.

The images show that unlike some of Samsung’s recent mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy J4 isn’t going to have a metal unibody design. It’s going to have a removable back which also means that the handset will have a replaceable battery.

Even though it’s quite likely that the Galaxy J6 will feature a flat Infinity Display with no home button and a repositioned fingerprint sensor at the back, these images suggest that no such drastic design changes will be made to the Galaxy J4 and it’s going to retain the physical home button at the front.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy J4 will likely feature an Exynos 7570 processor with 2GB of RAM. It’s going to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo with support for Bluetooth 4.2. The screen size is said to be 5.5-inch.

The first firmware for the Galaxy J4 is already available for download from our database. We also have the official Galaxy J4 wallpapers available for download as well. The availability of its first firmware file also suggests that an official launch is not that far off. Samsung is yet to confirm anything about its new Galaxy J series handsets, though it’s only a matter of time now before the Galaxy J4 and other new models in this lineup are officially launched.
