Samsung has finally released the March security update for the Galaxy S10. Being the company’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S10 is also getting a few improvements in addition to enhanced security. This time, Samsung is focusing on Wireless PowerShare, the feature that allows you to wirelessly charge other devices with your Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, or Galaxy S10+.
The changelog for the update mentions improved performance for Wireless PowerShare, although the specifics of these improvements are unknown. The update also improves camera stability, just like the first Galaxy S10 software update. And the March 2019 security patch is included as well. The Galaxy S10 is a bit late to the party on that front, with all of Samsung’s flagships from the last three years already running the March patch in many countries, but we can cut Samsung some slack since it’s also making overall usability enhancements to its latest flagship. We just hope those promised fingerprint reader improvements aren’t too far away.
The new update comes with software version G973FXXU1ASC8 and G975FXXU1ASC8 for the S10 and S10+ respectively. It is rolling out in some European markets at the moment, including Germany and the United Kingdom. We’re not sure if the Galaxy S10e is also being updated, but there’s no reason to believe that’s not the case. You can check your S10 for the update from the Settings » Software update menu by tapping Download updates manually or download the latest firmware from our database and flash it on your phone using a Windows PC.
