Galaxy A91 leaked renders highlight Samsung’s new design direction

Samsung is preparing its Galaxy A (2020) series for release and we already know what the new models will be called. The Galaxy A91 will be one of the more premium models in the new series. Unofficial CAD renders of the Galaxy A91 have been leaked online today. They highlight the new design direction that Samsung is taking with the Galaxy A series.

It’s evident that the center punch hole will be trickling down from the Galaxy Note 10 to the Galaxy A series as well. The new L-shaped array for the rear camera will also be a mainstay across the upcoming series. It’s also going to figure on the Galaxy S11 as well.

Leaked renders of the Galaxy A91 have surfaced online

The design is very Samsung-esque overall with a curved display and rounded corners. All of the physical buttons are placed on the right side of the frame much like it’s expected to be on the Galaxy S11.

The leak’s source isn’t sure of the camera setup on the Galaxy A91, though, as some renders show a triple camera system and others a quad camera. We heard that it’s going to have a triple-camera system with a 48-megapixel primary sensor and OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It will also come with a 32-megapixel front camera.

The absence of a fingerprint sensor suggests that there’s going to be an in-display sensor. There’s also no headphone jack in sight which isn’t surprising at all. We exclusively confirmed the Galaxy A91 specs two months ago. It’s going to feature a Snapdragon 855 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

It will also feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display. The Galaxy A91 will feature a 4,500mAh battery and support for 45W fast charging. It’s unclear if this charger will come with the phone or if we’ll need to buy it separately as we do for the Galaxy Note 10+.

We also reported that the Galaxy A91 is being developed with Android 10. This means that it may not be released before the Galaxy S11. There’s some evidence to suggest that this model may actually be launched as the Galaxy S10 Lite in a few markets.

The uncertainty surrounding its release should clear up in the coming weeks. Samsung does have an announcement lined up for the Galaxy A (2020) series on December 12 in Vietnam. However, it’s unlikely that the Galaxy A91 will be making an appearance there.
