Samsung reportedly developing One UI 2.5 for its smartphones

All the smartphones and tablets from Samsung that run Android 10 use the One UI 2.0 software. High-end phones such as the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip, which were launched recently, come pre-installed with One UI 2.1. Older devices are now getting the One UI 2.0 update as well. It is now being reported that the company is currently working on One UI 2.5 for its upcoming devices.

According to the information posted by the moderator on the Samsung Community forum in South Korea, the company is developing One UI 2.5. The first devices to get access to it would be the phones in the Galaxy Note 20 series. Currently, there isn’t enough information about One UI 2.5’s complete feature list. However, the home screen moderator of the forum says that the upcoming software will bring Google’s UI navigation gestures to third-party app launchers, something that’s not available on phones running One UI 2.0 or One UI 2.1.

Galaxy A series of smartphones that will be launched after the Galaxy Note 20 would reportedly get One UI 2.5 as well. It is possible that Samsung will roll out One UI 2.5 to more devices in the Galaxy A, Galaxy M, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and the Galaxy Fold series in the future.
