Galaxy Z Fold 3 release window indirectly confirmed by supplier

One of Samsung’s component suppliers appears to have confirmed the release window for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. In fact, we’re already familiar with this company, seeing how the source of today’s report is none other than S-Connect; a publicly traded Korean manufacturer that already disclosed some rough estimates regarding the planned release windows of multiple Samsung devices set to debut by the end of the year.

According to S-Connect’s latest communication to shareholders, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is schedule to debut in either August or September. That’s pretty much on par with recent rumors in the space. For the uninitiated, S-Connect has been supplying the hinges for Samsung’s foldable smartphones since the original Galaxy Fold recall.

S-Connect has been a pretty credible source so far

Back in early spring, S-Connect also suggested the Galaxy Z Flip 2/3 will launch around the same period. Given everything that’s been going on lately, it would seem that prediction is also on course to proving correct. And if you remember the old rumors about a potential Galaxy Z Flip Lite being in the works, it was S-Connect’s public disclosures about their supply agreements with Samsung that pretty much squashed those.

All in all, we’d say they’ve been a credible source so far, so if their supply roadmap claims the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be with us come September, you better believe it will. As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to launch with the Snapdragon 888/888+, 12/16GB of RAM, 256/512GB of storage space, a 4,400mAh battery, 6.2-inch cover display, and a 7.5-inch foldable screen with HDR10+ support, both running at 120Hz refresh rates. Oh, and S Pen support, if you care for that sort of thing.
