Next Galaxy S21 One UI 4.0 release may be the global one

Samsung released four beta versions of the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S21 series. The fourth beta version was released last week with many bug fixes, and it was expected that Samsung could release the fifth beta update sometime this week. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

The Community Manager of Beta operations has announced via the Samsung Members forum that the company won’t release the fifth One UI 4.0 beta update. Instead, the company will fix all the critical bugs in the fourth beta version and then release the stable One UI 4.0 update worldwide. However, the company hasn’t given any time frame for the stable release.

It is expected that Samsung will release the stable version of One UI 4.0 to the Galaxy S21 series later this month or early next month. The South Korean firm has also released the beta version of One UI 4.0 to the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The company could release the stable Android 12 update to dozens of Galaxy smartphones and tablets starting next month. One UI 4.0 brings a revamped UI design, improved performance, better privacy and security, and a Material You-inspired color theming system. It also includes enhanced stock apps such as Samsung Internet and Samsung Keyboard.
