Samsung had released the November 2021 security update to the Galaxy S10 last month. A few days later, the international variants of the smartphone received the update. Then, the update was released to the unlocked models in the US. Now, the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S10 are finally getting the security update in the US.
The latest software update for the carrier-locked Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ comes with firmware version G975USQU6GUJ3. The update is currently rolling out on T-Mobile’s network, and other US carriers could release it soon on their networks. It includes the November 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and software stability improvements.
If you are using a carrier-locked Galaxy S10 series smartphone in the US, you might have received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash your phone manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S10 series in 2019 with Android 9 onboard. The devices in the series received the Android 10 update in 2020 and the Android 11 update earlier this year. Samsung has already started beta-testing the Android 12-based One UI 4 update for the Galaxy S10, and the stable update will begin rolling out in January 2022.
