Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in South Korea starting August 11

The Galaxy Tab S2 was announced a couple of weeks ago, and as promised, the company will roll out the high-end tablet in its homeland next week. The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 will be available in South Korea starting August 11 for KRW 599,000 ($513) and KRW 719,000 ($617) respectively. The company will also sell the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 with a keyboard case for KRW 799,000 ($685) in the country.

The Galaxy Tab S2 is the company’s most high-end and thinnest tablet till date, and features a pixel-dense Super AMOLED display (2048 x 1536), an octa-core Exynos 5433 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, a fingerprint sensor, an 8-megapixel primary camera, 2.1-megapixel secondary camera, and LTE Cat. 6 connectivity. The 9.7-inch variant of the tablet packs in a 5,870 mAh battery, while the 8.0-inch variant features a 4,000 mAh battery.

The company is betting big on the tablet’s metal frame, a fingerprint sensor and its Super AMOLED display for offering a high-end experience to the users. Samsung says that the display on the Galaxy Tab S2 delivers 94 percent of the Adobe RGB color standard. Samsung claims that the display’s 4:3 aspect ratio coupled with Reading Mode offers pleasing experience for prolonged reading sessions.
