Samsung has expanded its Odyssey gaming monitor line-up with the launch of four new models: 24-inch Odyssey G3 (G30A), 27-inch Odyssey G3 (G30A), 27-inch Odyssey G5 (G50A), and 28-inch Odyssey G7 (G70A). All these monitors come with high-refresh-rate displays, Adaptive Sync with AMD FreeSync, and a height-adjustable stand (with pivot, swivel, and tilt).
The Odyssey G7 (G70A) is the highest-end monitor among the four new models, and it features a 28-inch LCD display with 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms GTG response time, and a peak brightness of 400 nits. It is DisplayHDR 400-certified by VESA and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Since it offers 4K 120Hz gaming, it can be a great monitor for your brand-new PC or the latest-generation gaming consoles like the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X. It also features Auto Source Switch+, a Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.
The Odyssey G5 (G50) is a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate, 350 nits peak brightness, HDR10, and 1ms GTG response time. It is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. It has a Display Port 1.4 port and an HDMI 2.0 port. The Odyssey G3 (G30A) comes in two sizes: 24-inch and 27-inch. Both versions of the monitor have Full HD resolution, 250 nits peak brightness, 1ms response time, a 144Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium, one Display Port 1.2 port, and one HDMI 1.2 port.
All three monitors feature 100 x 100 VESA mounts and a height-adjustable stand (with pivot, swivel, and tilt). They also feature Black Equalizer, Eye Saver Mode, low input lag, Refresh Rate Optimizer, Samsung’s Super Arena Gaming UX, Ultrawide Game View (21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratio), and RGB CoreSync Lighting at the rear that can match the game’s ambient colors. Other features include Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes.
