Galaxy Note 9 starts getting the November 2021 security update

Samsung has updated a bunch of high-end and mid-range smartphones with the latest security patch over the past week. Now, the company has released a new security update to the Galaxy Note 9. However, the update is currently available only in Samsung’s home market South Korea.

The November 2021 security update for the Galaxy Note 9 comes with firmware version N960NKSU3FUJ2. The new update brings fixes for dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities explained in Samsung’s documentation. It might also include some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Note 9 user in South Korea, you might have received the update already. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 9 in 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard. It received two major Android OS updates (Android 9.0 and Android 10) and has been recently getting quarterly security updates.
