November 2021 security update rolling to the Galaxy S20 in the US

Last week, Samsung had released the November 2021 security update to the international models of the Galaxy S20. Now, the South Korean firm has started rolling out the update to the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S20 series smartphones in the US.

The update is rolling out to the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US with firmware version G98xU1UES2DUJ7. The new software is available on AT&T, Comcast, C-Spire, and Sprint’s networks in the country. The November 2021 security patch that is included in the update fixes dozens of privacy and security-related bugs.

If you are a Galaxy S20 series smartphone user on any of the networks mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy S20 was launched early last year with Android 10-based One UI 2 software. It received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update in December 2020 and will soon get the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update.
