New ad highlights Samsung Experience Shops

In this age of online shopping, fewer and fewer people actually leave their house in order to buy things. Unsurprisingly, there is a large contingent of U.S. shoppers that are unaware that Samsung actually has a physical store presence, called Experience Shops. These shops – more than 1,400 of them – come as a result of a partnership with Best Buy dating back to April of last year. With this action, Samsung addressed a serious need of presenting its customers with a location to go for servicing, accessories, and upgrading; all within their local Best Buy store.

This 30-second ad follows a curious, young woman named Maggie whom only wants to get better acquainted with all of the fantastic Samsung products available today. Her quandaries finally lead her to a Best Buy Samsung Experience Shop where a friendly associate helps her with all of her questions and rings her up. Quick, convenient, hassle-free; the point of Samsung’s value proposition is well-made. Hopefully you or the “Maggie” in your life will find a trip to the Experience Shop just as pleasant and informative.

Making appearances in the ad are the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and the Gear Live. Also noteworthy is the inclusion of Samsung’s partnership with The Hunger Games, where there will be a Hunger Games Movie Pack App released on the 28th. Additionally, the Samsung exclusive Mockingjay trailer will be available in select Best Buy stores this weekend.

Samsung finally updating the Galaxy S4 LTE-A (GT-I9506) to Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Owners of the Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9506), the day you have all been waiting for has finally arrived. Samsung has started pushing out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the international LTE-A-enabled and Snapdragon 800-powered variant of its 2013 flagship. The update is currently going out in the Nordic region (Sweden, Finland, etc.) according to some of our readers, and is available over the air. We expect it will have the same features that we’ve seen on every KitKat update – improved performance, redesigned status bar with white icons, enhanced lockscreen with a camera shortcut and full-screen album art, wireless printing support, newer versions of Samsung apps, and better battery life.

Samsung has ignored the international Galaxy S4 LTE-A for a long time, but it is good to see KitKat is finally arriving on the handset. Of course, you will still need to contend with the phased nature of the update’s rollout, but it shouldn’t be long before it comes knocking on every user’s device.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
