[List] Galaxy devices that will be eligible for One UI 4.0 (Android 12) update

One UI 4.0 will be Samsung’s ninth One UI upgrade. As expected, some Galaxy phones and tablets will be eligible for this future Android 12-based firmware update, while others will be left behind. For some devices, Android 12 will be the last major firmware update.

Below you will find a comprehensive list of Galaxy phones and tablets that are expected to receive Android 12 together with One UI 4.0 at some point in the future, according to Samsung’s Android update policy.

As a reminder, Samsung is now offering three major Android OS updates to select Galaxy phones and tablets instead of two. This policy is valid for select Galaxy devices that were released in 2019 and later.

Please note that the list isn’t final and could change in the future. We will keep it updated in the coming months as we get closer to the final release of Android 12 and One UI 4.0.

Samsung unveils the stunning Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition

After unveiling Thom Browne editions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 last month, Samsung has announced the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition. Yes, you can now individually buy this variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Earlier, Samsung had collaborated with designer Thom Browne for limited edition variants of its smartphones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds.

The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition is priced at $799.99 in the US. The smartwatch will go on sale in the US on September 29, 2021. Needless to say, this special edition smartwatch will be available in limited quantities, so if you want a unique smartwatch, don’t be late when this smartwatch goes on sale via Samsung’s website.

Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition will be available in the 42mm Bluetooth-only version. The smartwatch is plated with the rare Rhodium metal and comes with the Thom Browne badging on the stainless steel casing. It also features unique watch faces and watch bands. Even the wireless charger has the signature Thom Browne tri-color stripe. The box comes with three types of watch straps: fabric, leather, and rubber.

All the other features of the smartwatch remain similar to the regular Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. It has a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED circular display, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and an MIL-STD-810G design. It is equipped with the Exynos W920 processor, 1.5GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. It has an accelerometer, barometer, blood pressure monitor, an ECG, GPS, gyro, heart rate monitor, SpO2 measurement, and sleep tracking.

The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Thom Browne Edition features Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. Its screen is protected using Gorilla Glass DX and has a rotating bezel. Its 247mAh battery lasts more than a day and supports wireless charging. It runs Wear OS 3 and comes pre-loaded with Google services, including the Play Store. Other features Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, and support for Android apps for smartwatches.

Carrier-locked Galaxy S10 gets the September 2021 security update

Samsung’s September 2021 security update started rolling out in the last week of August. The international variants of the Galaxy S10 series received the update two weeks ago. The update is now being rolled out to the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S10 series smartphones in the US.

The carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and the Galaxy S10 5G have started getting the new software update on Xfinity Mobile’s network. Other carriers will get the update soon. The latest update, which bears firmware version G97xUSQS6GUI1, includes the September 2021 security patch. Samsung had mentioned earlier that its latest security patch fixes more than 50 vulnerabilities. The update might also improve the stability of these smartphones.

If you are a Galaxy S10 series smartphone user on Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US, you might have received a notification of the new update. If you haven’t, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for your smartphone from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy S10 series in early 2019 with Android 9-based One UI software. The smartphones received the Android 10 update in late 2019 and the Android 11 update earlier this year.

Surface Duo 2 vs Galaxy Z Fold 3: Microsoft fails to impress once more

In case you forgot, Microsoft wants to make foldable phones too. It released the Surface Duo in September last year. The device didn’t really do well and was quickly forgotten. Many would have expected that the company would call it a day.

It’s actually doubling down on the Surface Duo. Microsoft has announced the Surface Duo 2 today. Since it’s the closest to what can be considered a competitor for Samsung’s best foldable, let’s do a Surface Duo 2 vs Galaxy Z Fold 3 comparison.

There’s a lot that Microsoft got wrong with the Surface Duo. It had outdated specs, no 5G, NFC or wireless charging. There was one single terrible camera on the entire device. While the way it chose to utilize the form factor was unique, the implementation left a lot to be desired.

Design doesn’t excite

Like its predecessor, the Surface Duo 2 doesn’t actually have a foldable screen. It has two separate screens that are joined together with a hinge. So the device opens up like a book and lets users run two apps side by side.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has many appealing design elements. The subtle curves, sharp edges and solid hinge make it feel like a very premium device. The Surface Duo 2 doesn’t seem to have many of those attributes.

Its wider footprint also makes the Surface Duo 2 not that suitable for carrying in the pocket. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 may be taller but that doesn’t affect its portability much.

Displays aren’t actually folding

Samsung’s pushing display technology forward with its foldables. The panel inside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 actually folds. It’s made of Ultra-Thin Glass and has a plastic protective film that’s 80% stronger than before.

It’s a higher resolution 7.6-inch OLED panel that even has an Under-Display Camera. The bezels are as slim as they’ve ever been on a foldable phone. That’s not all, the 120Hz refresh rate is another feather in its cap.

The Surface Duo 2 utilizes two separate 5.8-inch OLED panels connected by a hinge. When viewed together it’s a combined 8.3-inch diagonal, slightly larger than one of the best Samsung phones, but with bigger bezels. The 90Hz refresh rate is an upgrade over its predecessor but not quite as good as the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Both phones work with a stylus. Samsung has the S Pen and Microsoft has the Surface Pen. The Surface Duo misses out on a cover display so users need to unfold it even for the most minor tasks.

Close in performance but not close enough

This is where you’ll find the most similarities in the Surface Duo 2 vs Galaxy Z Fold 3 comparison. Microsoft is using the same Snapdragon 888 processor you get in Samsung’s foldable. There’s 5G support as well. The 8GB RAM is lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s 12GB. The 4,449mAh capacity is almost the same as the Z Fold 3’s 4,400mAh.

The upgrades that the Surface Duo 2 gets represent a major leap forward compared to its predecessor. They still don’t bring it at par with Samsung’s top-of-the-line foldable smartphone.

Just how optimized it all is on the Surface Duo 2 is not something one can guess. As we pointed out in Galaxy Z Fold 3 review, it’s all in pretty tip-top shape on Samsung’s foldable.

Cameras are better but Samsung has more

At least the Surface Duo 2 doesn’t have one single camera like its predecessor. Microsoft has given it a triple-camera system. It consists of a wide, ultra-wide and 2x telephoto sensor all of which have a 12-megapixel resolution.

This is not unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 3 which also has 12-megapixel wide, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. The camera setup on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 didn’t actually get much hardware improvement this year.

What the Galaxy Z Fold 3 offers are two additional cameras. There’s the 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover display and the 4-megapixel Under-Display Camera on the inside.

Samsung cuts price, Microsoft raises it

Samsung knows that it needs to make foldables cheaper to get more people to buy them. That’s why the Galaxy Z Fold 3 starts at $1,799. It’s a full $200 cheaper than its predecessor. That’s one of the reasons why the new foldable has been selling so well.

Microsoft has actually raised the price. The Surface Duo 2 starts at $1,499. That’s $100 more than its predecessor. Customers will get much more than what the original Surface Duo offered but at a higher price.

Samsung is giving customers a more durable and capable Galaxy Z Fold 3 that also happens to be water-resistant for $200 less. Sure, the Surface Duo 2 might be cheaper, but it’s not in the same league as the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

So who wins the Surface Duo 2 vs Galaxy Z Fold 3 comparison?

The Surface Duo 2 is what the Surface Duo should have been. It fixes all of the shortcomings that the device had. More people might be willing to give it a shot this time around. However, it’s not really going to both the Galaxy Z Fold 3 much.

Samsung’s foldable is more than just two screens glued together. The approach Samsung has taken for its foldable project will reshape the mobile industry as we know it. It also provides superior firmware support. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 get the promise of three Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches.

Microsoft is launching the Surface Duo 2 with Android 11. The original Surface Duo is still on Android 10 even a full year after its launch. It also can’t be ignored that the company’s track record with smartphones hasn’t been good. It bought Nokia’s mobile division in 2013 for $7 billion to try and compete, then gave up and left the business entirely.

Whether this new vision for mobiles will help it succeed remains to be seen. Microsoft is taking a more conservative approach this time. It knows trying to compete in the mobile market with conventional phones is a bad idea.

So it’s betting on foldables. The challenge it’s running into now is that Samsung has its fist tightly wrapped around the foldable market. The Surface Duo 2 might be an impressive upgrade over its predecessor but it’s far from a threat for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Samsung’s epic Odyssey G9 gaming monitor is at its lowest price in the US

Samsung first showcased the Odyssey G9 gaming monitor back at the Consumer Electronics Show 2020. It was unlike any other monitor we had ever seen. The sheer size of this 49-inch monitor meant that it would have pleased even the most discerning gamers.

As you’d expect, this epic gaming monitor also had an epic price tag. Discounts have been few and far between. However, there’s a great opportunity today for customers in the US to grab the Odyssey G9 at its lowest price yet.

Samsung’s best gaming monitor is up for grabs at a discount

The Samsung Odyssey G9 has a 49-inch curved QLED screen with 5120×1440 resolution (32:9 aspect ratio). It’s also the world’s first gaming monitor with a dual-QHD resolution, NVIDIA G-Sync and a bonkers 1000R curvature.

It’s an epic gaming monitor for a reason. The Odyssey G9 boasts a 240Hz refresh rate with a 1ms response time. With 1000 nits peak brightness, it can also cover 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The accompanying stand supports swivelling, rotating and tilting. It includes a 100×100 VESA mount as well.

Two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port and three USB 3.0 ports are present on the Odyssey G9. There’s also a headphone port. For gamers, additional features like Black Equalizer and Virtual Aim Point further enhance the user experience.

At launch, Samsung priced the monitor at $1,100. That’s a considerable amount of money for a monitor but you really are getting a next-level monitor. There’s great news for customers in the US. Amazon has slashed the monitor’s price by $200. So if you hurry along, you can buy the Odyssey G9 from Amazon for $900.

Galaxy M51 picks up the September 2021 security update

Samsung started rolling out the September 2021 security update to its smartphones late last month. The Galaxy S20 FE was the first smartphone to get the update. Over the past four weeks, various high-end and mid-range smartphones have received the update. The South Korean firm has now started rolling it out to the Galaxy M51.

The Galaxy M51 has started getting a new software update in various European countries. It comes with firmware version M515FXXS3CUI1 and includes the September 2021 security patch. Samsung revealed a few days ago that its latest security patch fixes more than 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update might also include device stability improvements and general bug fixes.

The update is rolling out in France, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the Nordic region. You can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy M51 was launched in late 2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2.5. The mid-range smartphone has already received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update.

Samsung may have solved the Galaxy S21 FE mass production issues

The fate of the Galaxy S21 FE remains relatively uncertain, but Samsung is reportedly working on improving production. The Fan Edition smartphone already missed its alleged launch due to the global semiconductor shortage, and according to the latest, at least one South Korean mobile operator confirmed that domestic launch plans for the Galaxy S21 FE have yet to be established.

So far this month, Samsung reportedly manufactured around 10,000 Galaxy S21 FE units, which is almost insignificant for a device of this caliber. But according to a new report, mass manufacturing is underway for the Galaxy S21 FE in anticipation of a Q4 release — presumably taking place near the end of October. However, South Korean mobile operators have yet to receive any launch details, claims the new report.

Let’s hope it’s not too little and too late

Although Samsung may be churning out more Galaxy S21 FE units, nobody knows exactly how many units the company is looking to manufacture before the end of October. But given the current state of affairs, it might not be enough, especially for an FE-branded phone.

A Fan Edition device is supposed to defy the rules and combine flagship-grade features with a mid-range price. It’s a recipe designed to generate sales figures, which means that the Galaxy S21 FE may be in trouble. Not only is the Galaxy S21 5G already sold for FE prices, but if there won’t be enough Galaxy S21 FE units to go around, it will defeat the purpose of a Fan Edition device that’s supposed to be selling like hotcakes.

Hopefully, Samsung has figured out this supply shortage puzzle and will manufacture enough Galaxy S21 FE units in time, assuming that interest in this upcoming smartphone won’t wane before it hits the shelves.

One UI 4.0 makes it easy to re-enable scheduled alarms

There are many new features, both minor and not-so-minor, in One UI 4.0, and we took at more than 60 of them a couple of weeks back when the first One UI 4.0 beta arrived for Galaxy S21 series phones. But we’re still discovering new stuff here and there, and one of those is an interesting addition in Samsung’s Clock app that the company doesn’t mention in the official One UI 4.0 changelog.

Do you have an alarm on your phone that is set to go off at the same time every day? Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t want that alarm to go off on a particular day? Before One UI 4.0, you would have to manually enter the alarm settings in the Clock app, turn it off on the day you didn’t need it, then turn it back on again so you could get back to your usual routine.

On One UI 4.0, Samsung has made that process much simpler: Every time you disable an alarm that’s set to go off every day or on a particular day every week, the app will ask you if the alarm should be automatically enabled the next day or week so you don’t have to make the trip back into the Clock app to do it yourself.

It’s one of those nice little features that can make a sizeable difference in your day-to-day life. One UI 4.0 may be lacking in big new functionality, but it has many small changes and improvements littered throughout that further enhance the user experience, and this is just one example.

Samsung’s building a TV plant in Pakistan to churn out 50,000 units yearly

Samsung Electronics is building a new TV manufacturing plant in Pakistan. The project will be finalized in collaboration with R&R Industries, and the factory is scheduled to become functional in the final quarter of the year. The news was confirmed via Twitter by the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Abdul Razak Dawood.

According to the news, the building of Samsung’s new TV manufacturing plant was made possible in part by the Made-in-Pakistan policy, which provides incentives to bolster the domestic manufacturing industry.

Through its new TV factory in Pakistan, Samsung will be able to produce roughly 50,000 units every year, though it’s not clear what TV models will be made there, exactly.

Samsung will also build phones in Pakistan

Aside from the new TV manufacturing plant built in collaboration with R&R Industries, Samsung Electronics is also establishing a new mobile phone manufacturing line in the country.

This was announced by Lucky Motor Corporation a couple of months ago, the latter of which will repurpose its automotive plant at Port Qasim to assemble Samsung mobile devices. By 2022, 80% of all mobile phones sold in Pakistan could be manufactured locally, though not exclusively at the Port Qasim assembly plant.

Lithuanian government’s anti-Xiaomi rant could end up helping Samsung

Although Samsung is still a major player in the European smartphone market, it had to surrender its crown to Chinese upstart Xiaomi. Samsung’s road to recovery will be long and arduous, as Xiaomi seems to have figured out a winning formula and has stuck to it religiously. However, one European country isn’t too happy with Xiaomi’s foray into the region, and this could inadvertently end up helping Samsung.

Lithuania’s Defense Ministry has asked citizens to throw away Chinese-origin smartphones because they apparently ‘censor’ terms at will. The National Cyber Security Center further claims that the censorship ‘features’ have been switched off for European models, but can be ‘re-enabled’ at any time. Deputy Defense Minister Margiris Abukevicius had the following to add:

“Our recommendation is to not buy new Chinese phones, and to get rid of those already purchased as fast as reasonably possible.”

Although Lithuania hasn’t outright banned Xiaomi and other Chinese OEMs yet, it is well within the realm of possibilities, given the rising tensions between the two nations. Then again, Xiaomi doesn’t really have much of a presence in Lithuania, to begin with. Market research shows that Xiaomi has about an 8% market share in the country.

On the other hand, Samsung seems to be the most popular OEM in Lithuania with about 35% market share. Even if Samsung was to absorb all of Xiaomi’s former sales in the region, it wouldn’t account for much of an increase. However, the scales could tip in Samsung’s favor should other countries in the region follow Lithuania’s footsteps.

Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G with Windows 11 is available for pre-order in UK

Today Samsung announced the Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G for the UK market. The laptop can now be pre-order ahead of hitting the shelves on October 5 through Samsung’s shops and major UK retailers. Unlike the non-5G model, which is already available for purchase in the UK, the new Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G will run Microsoft’s latest OS out of the box.

The Galaxy Book series normally ships with Windows 10 Home Edition, but Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G pre-order customers are only given the choice of Windows 11 Home.

Windows 11 is not out yet, but coincidentally, Microsoft will release the new OS on October 5 — the same day when Samsung will start selling the Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G. And because it ships with Windows 11, the laptop will also be capable of running Android apps natively in Microsoft’s environment.

Available for pre-order in a single hardware configuration

Samsung isn’t giving customers any options regarding the Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G’s hardware configuration. The laptop is available for pre-order only in one flavor, featuring a 13.3-inch display.

The ultrathin notebook is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1130G7 processor, Intel Xe graphics, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It’s available in a single color option — Mystic Silver.

Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50 get the September 2021 security update

Two more Galaxy A series smartphones have started getting Samsung’s latest security update. After the Galaxy A10s, Galaxy A21s, Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52s 5G, and the Galaxy A72, Samsung has started rolling out the September 2021 security update to the Galaxy A30s and the Galaxy A50.

The Galaxy A30s is getting the new software update with firmware version A307GUBU4CUH6 in Argentina. The Galaxy A50 is getting a new update with firmware version A505GUBS9CUH2 in Panama and Trinidad and Tobago. These new updates bring the September 2021 security patch that fixes more than 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. They might also include device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy A30s user in Argentina or a Galaxy A50 user in Panama or Trinidad and Tobago, you might have received a notification of the new update for your smartphone already. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A30s in late 2019 with Android 9 Pie-based One UI. and the Galaxy A50 in early 2019 with Android 9 Pie. Both smartphones received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update last year and the Android 11-based One UI 3 update this year.

The Exynos 2200’s AMD GPU has some serious overclocking potential

Several benchmarks showcasing the Exynos 2200’s AMD Radeon GPU have shown up online over the past few weeks. The overwhelming consensus is that it blows just about every smartphone GPU out of the water, even when it isn’t operating at its peak. The last we heard, it was clocked at a whopping 1.25GHz. A new report from South Korean tech forum Clien tells us that it can operate at 1.58GHz.

It is unlikely that the Exynos 2200 will run the GPU at such high speeds, though. While the post doesn’t mention anything about its thermals, we can safely assume that the GPU is running hot. A power budget of 10W apparently lets it operate at a whopping 1.8GHz, but that will require some serious cooling that may not be possible on a smartphone.

AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series of graphics cards have shown us that the RDNA2 architecture leaves a lot of headroom for overclocking. Given that the Exynos 2200’s GPU is RDNA2-based, it isn’t surprising that Samsung can push it to never-before-seen limits. That being said, AMD chips have historically been toasty, so it’s probably in Samsung’s best interests to focus on thermals more than raw performance.

Previous reports have told us that the Exynos 2200’s AMD GPU will not be restricted to mobile devices. We can expect to see it across a wide variety of devices, including laptops and tablets. Samsung can adjust its power budget and clock speeds depending on the device’s form factor and cooling mechanism.

Tipster says Galaxy S will transform into the Note series, and pigs can fly

Galaxy Note fans are sad that Samsung didn’t launch new models of this much-loved device in 2021. The global chip shortage was one of the reasons that Samsung gave for ditching its phablet. It hasn’t said what the future holds for the Note series.

There have been some concerning signs that indicate Samsung might kill the Galaxy Note series. A tipster has now come up with a theory that seems as implausible as pigs being able to fly.

The S Pen will live on even if the Galaxy Note series doesn’t

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is the first Galaxy S flagship to have support for the S Pen. Unlike a Galaxy Note device, the Galaxy S21 Ultra doesn’t ship with an S Pen. Customers have to purchase it separately.

The device also doesn’t have an internal silo to store the stylus. It must be carried separately or in one of the cases that can store it externally. The S Pen functionality might exist but the Galaxy S21 Ultra doesn’t provide the authentic Galaxy Note experience that fans have come to love.

Samsung has also brought the S Pen to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. There’s also reason to believe that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will retain the S Pen as well. That may be the case for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 next year too. So what does that mean for the future of the Galaxy Note series?

@UniverseIce will have you believe that the Galaxy Note series isn’t going away and that the S series will effectively transform into the Note. That seems far-fetched for a number of reasons. For starters, there are three models in the Galaxy S series. It’s not likely that all three will support the S Pen.

A fundamental design change will have to be made if the Galaxy S series is to provide the kind of S Pen experience that the Galaxy Note lineup does. That’s likely going to be off the table as well. It will reduce the appeal for those who have loved the Galaxy S series precisely for its non-Note like design.

The S Pen is here to stay. No matter what Samsung decides to do with the Note series. It’s just going to be a much different user experience than the one Note fans have been used to.

Galaxy S22 colors could include a sexy dark red shade

Even though we are months away from the launch of the Galaxy S22 series, most of the things regarding the upcoming phones have been leaked already. We had exclusively revealed their model numbers a few months ago. Now, their color variants have been revealed in a new report.

According to our friends at GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ will be available in at least four colors: black, green, pink gold, and white. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be launched in at least three colors: black, dark red, and white. However, we don’t expect these to be the only colors. Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy S22 trio in some additional colors, and some of them could be exclusive to Samsung’s online store.

It would be interesting to see the dark red shade of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The green variants of the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ could be attractive as well.

Galaxy S22 leaked specs

The Galaxy S22 is rumored to feature a 6-inch display, becoming the smallest Galaxy S series smartphone in years. The Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra could have 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch displays, respectively. All smartphones will feature an in-display fingerprint reader and a punch-hole-shaped cutout for the selfie camera.

Samsung will debut the AMD GPU-powered Exynos 2200 processor inside the Galaxy S22 series. However, there will be Snapdragon 898-powered variants of the phones as well. The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are expected to have a 50MP triple-camera setup. The Galaxy S22 Ultra could have a 108MP quad-camera setup.

The Galaxy S22 has a 3,700mAh battery, and the Galaxy S22+ has a 4,500mAh battery. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is powered by a 5,000mAh battery. Other features that we can expect in Samsung’s next high-end phones are an IP rating, stereo speakers, Samsung Pay, Android 12, wireless charging, and up to 45W fast charging.

Samsung wins 48 design awards at the IDEA 2021 event

Samsung makes well-designed products, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, TVs, and home appliances. The company has announced that it won 48 design awards at the IDEA 2021 event. These awards include seven Silver awards, three Bronze awards, and thirty-eight finalist awards.

The awarded products include The Frame TV, Neo QLED QN900A 8K TV, The Premiere laser projector, Bespoke Cube AX9500N air purifier, Bespoke 4-Door Flex refrigerator, and the SmartThings Cooking app. The IDEA 2021 Ceremony was held on September 21, 2021, entirely virtually, and the International Design Conference will be held for two days (September 22 and September 23).

Dontae Lee, Executive Vice President and the Head of Corporate Design Center at Samsung Electronics, said, “The pandemic affected consumers’ lifestyles in many ways, so it is more important than ever to keep an eye on how those change and to offer meaningful experiences to consumers accordingly. We will continue to provide optimized experiences for consumers based on a variety of lifestyles with the design that best resonates with them.”
