A bunch of new Samsung phones are now ARCore-certified

Samsung recently launched its next-generation Galaxy S and Galaxy A series smartphones. The new devices have now received ARCore certification from Google, which means that they will work better with AR applications and games.

The newly-certified devices include the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy A42 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy F41 have received the ARCore certification as well. However, the Galaxy A42 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy F41 don’t officially support the Depth API, which allows devices to create depth maps using RGB cameras.

If you closely notice, the Galaxy A52 5G hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, but it has still received the ARCore certification. This means that we could soon see an official announcement from Samsung regarding the launch of the Galaxy A52. The phone will be launched in both 4G and 5G variants, and both will be equipped with Snapdragon processors.

Galaxy F62 with high-end Exynos 9825 processor to be unveiled next week

Samsung will soon launch an interesting mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy F62. It first appeared two months ago, featuring the same processor used in the Galaxy Note 10 series in 2019. The South Korean smartphone giant has now started teasing the Galaxy F62’s upcoming launch along with some specifications.

The Galaxy F62 will be launched in India on February 15, and the smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy F62 will have the best-in-class performance, thanks to its 7nm Exynos 9825 processor. The company claims in its teaser that the phone scores 452,000+ points in AnTuTu, 2,400 points in Geekbench 5’s multi-core test, and 68fps in GFXBench 5 (probably Manhattan 3.1 1080p offscreen).

The company also revealed the first look of the Galaxy F62 on Flipkart’s website. The upcoming smartphone seems to feature a Super AMOLED Infinity-O display at the front, a quad-camera setup at the rear, and a capacitive fingerprint reader on the right side. The rear-camera design appears similar to the Galaxy A12’s camera, and the phone has a gradient pattern on the back.

Previous reports have claimed that the Galaxy F62 will run Android 11 out of the box, have a 7,000mAh battery, and cost less than INR 25,000 (around $350) in India. Other features that we can expect with the phone are a dual-SIM card slot, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It could be compatible with 25W fast charging.
