No Lollipop for the Galaxy E7, says Samsung UK

The Galaxy E7 is a very robust mid-range smartphone that has been performing quite nicely in the market, the handset doesn’t come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed but it’s in line to receive the update later this year. It appears though that the Galaxy E7 may not receive the Lollipop update in all markets that it’s available in, Samsung UK has said that there will be no Lollipop update for this handset in the United Kingdom.

The confirmation comes from the official Samsung UK Twitter account, while they’re apologetic about disappointing customers, Samsung UK says that they have had it confirmed that the E7 is not going to be updated to Lollipop. This doesn’t mean that the Galaxy E7 won’t receive Lollipop at all, users should reach out to regional arms of the company to get confirmation, but from the looks of it Lollipop may not be released for this device in all markets. So the possibility remains that Lollipop has only been dropped for the Galaxy E7 in the United Kingdom and it might be made available to users in other countries, but for now Samsung hasn’t provided any roadmap which details when and where this update will be released.

Samsung releases a beautifully shot ‘inboxing/unboxing’ video of the Galaxy S6 edge+

I’m sure you have seen many unboxing videos of your favorite gadgets but have you ever seen an “inboxing” video? Samsung came up with this idea earlier this year when it released an inboxing video for the Galaxy S6 edge, basically it shows the device being built from scratch with each component being installed by hand. The company has released a similar video for its latest handset which also covers the unboxing of the Galaxy S6 edge+.

All of the components are laid out on a table and then they’re put together by hand, the battery goes in first followed by the fingerprint scanner and the dual-edge display. In goes the rear and front facing camera as well as the application processor, RAM and onboard storage. Finally the wireless charging coil and metal frame are attached before the device is finished off with the glass back cover, packaged in a box and sent on its way. This is where the unboxing part of the video begins, aided by some very crisp sounds that we always hear when unboxing a new device. We get a look at all of the accessories that come in the box as well as the device itself. The video is beautifully shot and worth spending 1 minute and 21 seconds of your life on.
