After Spain, the June 2021 security update has now also made its way to the Galaxy S10 Lite in the United States, where it started rolling out just yesterday. This specific software release is identified by model number G770U1UEU3DUF1 and, beyond a newer security patch level, comes packed with improvements to file sharing over Samsung’s Quick Share feature.
The June 2021 security update has been reaching various Galaxy S10 Lite models for a couple of weeks by now. The OTA has so far starred in 148 other deployments across 36 countries, including the one at hand.
Galaxy S10 Lite has two more major OS upgrades left
Seeing how the Galaxy S10 Lite has only hit the market some 18 months ago, this device isn’t even halfway through its life cycle, as far as firmware updates are concerned. It’s hence expected to receive two more major OS releases and two and a half years’ worth of Android security updates before it truly checks out.
As per usual, you don’t have to simply wait for the June 2021 security update to reach your Galaxy S10 Lite naturally. Instead, you can attempt to trigger a manual installation by going to Settings, scrolling down to the Software update section, and tapping Download and install on the final screen. Moreover, our firmware archives have full system images containing the new security patch level that you can download. Assuming you’re willing, ready, and able to manually flash the firmware to your device, that is. Just don’t forget to create a backup of your data either way.
