Is this the Galaxy Note 8? Probably not

Even after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung has confirmed that it is working on a new Galaxy Note device. The South Korean smartphone giant will probably release it later this year. Now that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been officially unveiled, we’ve started to see some Galaxy Note 8-related leaks and rumors.

A new image of a Galaxy smartphone has surfaced on the Internet, and it is being reported as being the Galaxy Note 8. You can also see the S Pen menu and Bixby’s start screen on the phone’s display. However, we believe that it’s just the Galaxy S8+ photographed along with an S Pen stylus. It’s far too easy for someone to create a fake image by pasting the S Pen menu’s icon on the display of the S8+.

Bixby to be released in Germany in Q4 2017

Samsung’s new AI-powered digital assistant Bixby debuted with some cool features on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It goes up against Apple’s Siri and Google’s Assistant. However, Bixby’s third-party app support seems limited to just a few partners as of now. Moreover, it is currently limited to English and Korean languages, but that will reportedly change later this year.

According to a new report from our partner GalaxyClub, Bixby will be available in Germany sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. This information appeared in the FAQ section on Samsung’s official website where a consumer had inquired regarding the Bixby’s availability in Germany, and the South Korean smartphone giant replied saying that it would be available sometime in Q4 of 2017.

The publication also points out the possibility of Samsung releasing Bixby in Germany along with its next flagship smartphone, Galaxy Note 8, since the smartphone would be released in the same time frame. There’s currently no information regarding Bixby’s availability for other markets around the world.

Galaxy S8 Asiana Airlines Edition confirmed

If you’re a fan of the second-largest commercial airline in South Korea then perhaps you might want to purchase a special edition of the Galaxy S8 that has been made just for the passengers who choose Asiana.

Samsung and Asiana Airlines are offering a special edition of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ that passengers can purchase with their mileage points. These units won’t be sold at retail and only 2,000 units of the special edition handset will only ever be created.

Those who are interested and have accrued that much mileage can now sign up for the special edition handset until April 17. They will be able to purchase it at a reduced price which equals to 30,000 mileage points.

There’s nothing too different about this version as it just has an Asiana-exclusive theme and a logo of the airline is shown on the display when it’s turned on. This isn’t the first time both companies have worked together on something like this. We saw them launch a special edition of the Galaxy S7 last year as well.
