Samsung Electronics today announced that its products have won the Good Design Award 2014 in Japan. The award spans multiple product categories and includes, but is not limited to, the Curved UHD TV HU9000, Crystal Blue Door Drum Washer WW900, the Gear Fit, MultiXpress X4300 and the Smart Camera NX mini.
The number of products that won the Good Design Award 2014 totals 40, which is the highest ever since Samsung entered this evaluation system.
For those who don’t know the Good Design Award is considered to be the most prestigious design award in Japan. It is organized by Japan Institute of Design Promotion and it evaluates the exterior design of products as well as the innovative idea and user experience. Award-winning products get a “G Mark” which denotes good design, and Samsung’s 40 products now boast that mark.
