Galaxy S9 launch video accidentally posted online by Samsung

Samsung appears to have posted a Galaxy S9 launch video online accidentally earlier today. It’s not like the video made any new revelations given that we have already seen countless pictures of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+. With less than a day to go for the official launch, it’s also not surprising to see that someone over at Samsung jumped the gun on this.

The company has since pulled the video but since this is the internet and nothing ever goes away, the Galaxy S9 launch video has now been reuploaded multiple times on YouTube so don’t worry, you can check it out below.

Samsung is due to unveil the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ at its launch event in Barcelona tomorrow. We already know what to expect from the Galaxy S9 and have covered multiple leaked images of the device which showcase that it’s not going to be a major upgrade at least in the design department.

The three-minute Galaxy S9 launch video posted by Samsung shows off the new flagship in all its glory. The new DeX Pad also features in this video which means that we’ll surely get to see it tomorrow at the launch as well and it confirms that you’ll no longer need a keyboard and a mouse to get some use out of this accessory.

The rumored Live Translation feature for Bixby Vision gets screen time as well in this video and so does its enhanced augmented reality functionality. Reports about the new Intelligent Scan feature have been confirmed by this video too.

Samsung hypes up the new flagship as a “reimagined” mobile device in this Galaxy S9 launch video, primarily showcasing the software features which will undoubtedly be the biggest draw for customers considering to pay just under 1000 euro for the new device.

We’ll be on the ground in Barcelona to bring you all of the latest updates for the Galaxy S9 launch event tomorrow. Don’t forget to check out our post about how you can watch Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2018 online for free.

Crystal clear Galaxy S9 and S9+ live photos show AR Emoji, Slow-mo camera apps

The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be unveiled in less than a day, with Samsung making a comeback to the Mobile World Congress for the launch of its Galaxy S flagships. We have seen extensive leaks in recent days giving us a clear picture of what the S9 and S9+ will offer, and a new leak today is showing us the phones in all their glory. Not that we needed another look, but that’s exactly what we’re getting here, including a peak at the blue, black, and purple color variants.

The pictures showing the phones’ home screen and app drawer confirm the AR Emoji and super slow-mo video recording features for the camera. Dedicated apps for each are installed on the devices, although it’s unclear if these apps will be seen on the retail units. The demo units that Samsung will have on display at MWC may exclusively have these apps so those checking the phones out will be able to test how these features work, but again, we’re not sure if that will be the case. What we do know is that the S9 and S9+ will be able to record slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second and turn our faces into emoticons, and we can’t wait to test things out.

Another interesting nugget here is that Samsung will finally be making the fact that its devices are secured by KNOX clear to the consumer every time they boot up or restart the S9 or S9+. For those unaware, Knox also powers Android for Work, making it an integral part of the Android operating system. Being the most secure mobile security platform, Knox is at the heart of services like Samsung Pay and Secure Folder as well, allowing defense-grade protection of important data.

Check out the fresh new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ photos below, and let us know what you think of Samsung’s newest flagships. Also see what you can expect from the two handsets, such as its specs, release date, and pricing. And don’t forget, you’ll be able to watch the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ announcement live from the comfort of your home; we’ll also be bringing you a detailed hands-on right from the MWC.
