Best Buy will give you a free TV if you purchase the Galaxy S7

If you’ve been thinking about purchasing the Galaxy S7 you might want to take a look at Best Buy’s latest promotion. It will appeal to you if you don’t mind taking home a new TV with your new Samsung flagship. Customers who purchase or lease the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 edge from Best Buy will get a 32-inch Samsung smart TV for free. Customers who want an even better TV can pay an additional $250 to upgrade to a 48-inch Samsung smart TV.

This promotion has started today and it will run through June 4, only phones activated on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are eligible for this promotion. The 32-inch TV is available both in-store and online whereas the 48-inch option can only be chosen in-store. This isn’t the first such promotion of its kind where you get to go away with a free TV with your new smartphone. Merely two months ago, AT&T was offering its customers a free 48-inch Samsung TV if they purchased the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 edge from it.

The Galaxy C5 clears the FCC as well

The Samsung Galaxy C5 is well and truly on its way to being officially announced in the near future. We recently reported that it had received certification from TENAA in China, an indication that it will be launched soon, and now the handset has also breezed through the FCC certification process. With the regulatory formalities out of the way, it’s only a matter of time now before the Galaxy C5 sees the light of day.

The FCC listing for the Galaxy C5 (SM-C5000) reveals what we’ve previously told you about the specifications of this device. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 4 gigs of RAM, up to 64GB storage, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow packaged inside an all-metal body. We’ve already reported the Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy C5 on May 26. Pricing was leaked previously but it’s now believed that the Galaxy C5 may not be cheap as initially believed.

Latest Samsung Pay promo promises a free $20 gift card

Another day, another Samsung Pay promo. Samsung has been running quite a few of them recently to promote its mobile payments service and it appears to be working. The latest promo promises Samsung Pay users a gift card worth $20 for free, all they have to do is use the company’s payment service. This promo is open to all legal residents of the United States and is valid only while supplies last.

It runs from May 20 through June 6. New Samsung Pay users will be eligible to get the $20 free gift card after they use Samsung Pay for the first time. The company points out in the terms and conditions that private label cards and Bank of America Visa debit cards added to Samsung Pay before March 31st, 2016 are not eligible for this promotion. Once the first Samsung Pay purchase has been made users can head over to the Summer Perks menu under More in the Samsung Pay app to accept the T&Cs for the promotion. After that, they just need to decide which retailer’s gift card they’re going to go with, participating retailers include Nike, Banana Republic, Regal Entertainment, California Pizza Kitchen and Toys R’Us.

Samsung sets up the largest Galaxy S7 edge in Russia

Now this is a very interesting campaign from Samsung. The company has set up the largest Galaxy S7 edge in Europe – 80 meters high and 40 meters wide – in Sokol, Moscow. It’s actually mega-sized LED signage that looks like the Galaxy S7 edge and continuously plays promos to highlight some of the biggest features of this handset.

The LED signage can actually be spotted from as far as Moscow’s Gidroproekt building that’s located over 2 kilometers from the site. The location for this massive Galaxy S7 edge advertisement is on the side of the main road that connects downtown Moscow and Sheremetyevo International Airport, close to 800,000 people pass through this area on a daily basis. Pretty sure this is one advertisement they’re not going to miss.
