Galaxy S20 gets exclusive three-month free access to Flipboard TV

Samsung unveiled a bunch of new high-end smartphones two days ago. The company closely worked with brands like Google, Microsoft, Netflix, and Spotify for some unique software integrations for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Z Flip, and the Galaxy Buds+. Now, Flipboard has announced that it is launching its paid video service, which will be exclusive to the Galaxy S20 series for now.

Flipboard TV is a new curated video service that is integrated into the Flipboard app. It brings professionally produced video content from popular creators and media publishers across a variety of topics like business, entertainment, fashion, news, politics, technology, and more.

Flipboard’s new video service curates business videos from Barron’s, Bloomberg, Market Watch, The Wall Street Journal, and others, while entertainment content is sourced from Rolling Stones, US Weekly, and Variety. It also gives access to local TV news in the US from KCCI, KCRA, and WESH. The Politics channel gets content from The Recount and others.

The content curation service says that Flipboard TV will have more than 100 publishers at launch, which coincides with the launch of the Galaxy S20 series. Initially, Flipboard TV will be exclusively available on the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It will cost $2.99 per month after the three-month free trial.

Samsung reportedly working on Dexbook, a DeX-powered portable monitor

Samsung has been trying for years to make its Galaxy smartphones even more useful by making them behave like desktop computers, when needed, with the DeX software. Now, it appears that the South Korean tech giant has plans to make a portable monitor for its smartphones.

According to a report from ETNews, Samsung is planning to launch a 14.1-inch portable monitor that can turn Galaxy smartphones into desktop computer-like devices. While the company already supports a similar feature through third-party displays and even PCs, the new monitor is expected to weigh less than a kilogram, which makes it truly portable.

It is being reported that the upcoming Dexbook device will have a built-in 10,000mAh battery that can not only power the monitor but also the connected smartphone. It doesn’t come with a keyboard or a mouse, though, which is quite puzzling if the whole idea is to convert the phone into a PC. Perhaps, the idea is to utilize the monitor’s big screen for enjoying movies.

Apparently, even LG is making such a portable monitor that has a 5,000mAh built-in battery. Both firms are reportedly planning to start the mass production of their portable monitors in Q2 and release them in Q3 of this year. The Dexbook monitor could be priced anywhere between $339 to $423. Would you be interested in such a device? Let us know in the comments section below.

Why the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will be your secret love affair

Some of you may not agree with this statement but I have a strong feeling that you’ll end up agreeing with me by the end of this piece. As far as smartphones are concerned, there’s not much that surprises me anymore. I’ve been in this business long enough to have tested more phones than I could remember and have had a front-row seat to the transformation of the mobile industry over the past decade and a half.

So it doesn’t matter if a new phone has a larger display or a better camera, it’s all just evolutionary after all. The truly surprising moments have been few and far between. There certainly was one with the Galaxy Fold, and boy oh boy has Samsung given me one with the Galaxy Z Flip.

The Galaxy Z Flip is Samsung’s second foldable smartphone, third if you’re counting the Galaxy Fold that was announced before durability improvements were made. This new device has a completely different form factor. While the Galaxy Fold broke new ground by adopting an unusual form factor, the Galaxy Z Flip modernizes a form factor that once dominated the mobile landscape as we knew it.

The clamshell or the flip phone form factor used to be all the rage more than a decade ago. Some of you may not be old enough to remember them but many of us have certainly kept a flip phone in the past. People liked them because they had a smaller footprint. Remember, manufacturers were trying all sorts of things back then, from QWERTY keyboards to the stylus, yet the flip phones remained unchallenged. You had a compact device that could easily fit inside a pocket or a clutch. Flip it open to make a call or read your texts, close it when you’re done and go about your life. It used to be such a different experience compared to how we’ve been boxed in the candy bar form factor for the past decade.

I’m not just pining for the good old days. It’s not about being nostalgic and having something to scratch that itch with. To make the Galaxy Z Flip work, Samsung had to find the perfect balance between that feeling, the nostalgia and what customers need from a modern smartphone. As we pointed out in our hands-on review of the Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung has outdone itself.

I have been using the Galaxy Fold as my daily driver since the day it came out. I still believe that it’s the best smartphone that Samsung has ever made. It’s still a first-gen device that has room for improvement but it stands so far above anything else on the market that it’s not even funny. I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical about the Galaxy Z Flip before I got to play around with it. After having spent some time with it, I’m confident in its efficacy for all users.

This form factor needed to be brought back and Samsung has done that with outstanding clarity. The Galaxy Z Flip folds away from being a smartphone with a 6.7-inch display to something that you can fit entirely in your palm. It’s a refreshing break from the monotony of big smartphones that now rule the market. Even Samsung makes them, look no further than the Galaxy S20 lineup, but the Galaxy Z Flip offers customers looking for something different with an incredible choice. When unfolded, the Galaxy Z Flip is almost as tall as the Galaxy S20 Ultra which is an absolute behemoth in size. Yet, with a gentle flick of your wrist, you can instantly make it compact.

That’s the real advantage. You get a phone with a smaller footprint overall without compromising the need for a large display, which is essential for any modern smartphone. The 6.7-inch display on the Galaxy Z Flip can’t be called small by any stretch of the imagination. This just makes the overall experience much better, it’s easier to hold the device and carry it around while the display is big enough to support all of your modern content consumption needs. Think about it, the Galaxy Z Flip folds into essentially half the size of the phone that’s in your pocket right now.

It’s because of the feeling it gives that I believe the Galaxy Z Flip is going to be the secret love affair of every smartphone user. I certainly haven’t felt this way about a phone in a long time. Is it all sunshine and rainbows, though? Not necessarily and I certainly wouldn’t call it perfection. There are obvious disadvantages to this form factor, in that you will need to keep it unfolded always if you want to text someone and the smaller footprint doesn’t allow for a beefier battery.

That being said, the Galaxy Z Flip has come as a pleasant surprise. I can’t wait to get one and start using it daily. Still on the fence about it? Our full Galaxy Z Flip review will be up soon so do stick around for that.

Samsung can create multi-hinge foldable devices, but there’s no use yet

If you’ve followed the foldable scene over the years then you must’ve seen countless patent applications revealing purported designs for unreleased multi-hinge Samsung devices that can fold in more than one place. As Samsung is leading the foray into foldable screen technology, the company has obviously experimented with a lot of concepts. In reality, however, we shouldn’t expect any of these unusual designs to make it into consumer products anytime soon.

The idea that patented designs aren’t guaranteed to become reality isn’t anything new. But this time around, Samsung’s new president and head of mobile division, Roh Tae-moon, confirmed that the company doesn’t yet see any practical use cases for foldable devices that have more than one hinge.

Although Samsung could technically design phones that fold even more times as a show of force, there’s really no need for bragging given that the company is already leading the foldable market. Samsung’s president believes that offering value is more important for customers, and a multi-hinge foldable device doesn’t necessarily offer that, or at least, not yet.

Samsung might put a bigger focus on software and services next

It’s also important to have an ecosystem for sufficient content and services before releasing more foldable variants, Roh Tae-moon said in the recent interview following Unpacked, adding that Samsung can release new foldable phones at an opportune time when there are enough services on those phones.

It sounds like the company might want to focus on improving the software experience of foldables before creating new designs based on flexible display tech. Nevertheless, Samsung’s president does envision a future of foldable devices that are capable of folding multiple times and adapt, in size, according to the user’s needs. It’s just that it will take some time before that happens, and single-hinge foldable devices will remain the norm for the foreseeable future.

Download Galaxy Z Flip wallpapers and see your home screen ‘bloom’

The Galaxy Z Flip has gone official and will soon be hitting retail stores, at least in the US and South Korea (though other markets are going to follow soon). We went hands on with Samsung’s clamshell foldable and came away impressed, as it brings a number of cool features that we haven’t seen on other phones — foldable or otherwise — before. As expected, the Galaxy Z Flip also comes preloaded with some new wallpapers, and some of those wallpapers are now available for download.

The Galaxy Z Flip was developed with the codename ‘Bloom’, and that’s the theme the wallpapers are based on. The live video wallpaper on the Z Flip shows a blooming flower in multiple colors, and it looks downright gorgeous. The static wallpapers show the same flower. You will also notice how the wallpapers have an unusually taller vertical resolution. That’s because the Galaxy Z Flip’s 6.7-inch display is unusually tall as well, though Samsung has included standard-sized versions of the same wallpapers.

You can download the entire wallpaper package (including a wallpaper from the Thom Browne edition of the Galaxy Z Flip) as a ZIP file by clicking this link. The individual wallpapers can be seen below. It’s worth mentioning that these wallpapers have a maximum resolution of 2636×2636 pixels, so they may not look very sharp on maximum screen resolution on a Galaxy S10 or Galaxy Note 10.

Samsung’s foldable device portfolio adopts new naming convention

The launch of the Galaxy Z Flip marks a new chapter in the company’s foldable device portfolio, and we don’t say this just because it’s a brand new device, but because the Galaxy Z Flip has established a new naming convention for Samsung’s foldable devices.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg News, Samsung confirmed that its foldable device portfolio is adopting a new naming scheme that shows our commitment to expanding the category to offer a variety of experiences. The spokesperson added that ‘Z’ was chosen for the new foldable series because it intuitively communicates the idea of a fold while delivering a dynamic, youthful feel.

Samsung is retroactively adopting a new naming scheme

Samsung’s decision to rename its foldable device portfolio already seems to apply retroactively, as discovered earlier today by @MaxWinebach. The Galaxy Fold category on the Samsung US portal now redirects to the newly-added ‘Galaxy Z’ category, and as shown in the screenshot below, even the Galaxy Fold store page has had its URL changed to include the Galaxy Z moniker.

What this likely means is that the direct sequel to the Galaxy Fold might not be called the Galaxy Fold 2. Instead, it could follow this Z-based naming convention, making the original Galaxy Fold seem that much more experimental and one of a kind.

Time will tell exactly how the OG Fold’s sequel will be called, but it should technically be unveiled in the second half of 2020 so there’s plenty of time ahead of us for rumors and speculations. We’ll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more.

Sprint unveils Galaxy S20 launch details, Galaxy Z Flip pre-orders go live

Sprint has announced the launch details for the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip on its network. The Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra will become available for pre-order on February 21 before launching on March 6, but Sprint is so far keeping quiet about the prices. Nevertheless, the flagship trio will likely launch on Sprint’s network for prices similar to AT&T’s, Verizon’s, and T-Mobile’s.

In the meantime, Sprint seems to be eager to offer the stylish Galaxy Z Flip to its customers, and prospective buyers are already able to pre-order the phone before it hits the shelves on February 14.

Galaxy Z Flip costs $1,380, comes in purple or black

Sprint customers can now pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip in Mirror Purple or Mirror Black. Samsung also showcased a Mirror Gold color option at Unpacked. It will be made available at a later date, but it probably won’t be offered by Sprint.

The US-based carrier sells the Galaxy Z Flip for the usual $1,380 price, but customers can also acquire the phone through a Sprint Flex 18 month lease starting at $57.50 a month. Once the 18 months have passed, you can choose to return the Galaxy Z Flip for a newer phone model or complete the purchase by paying the remainder in one lump or six monthly payments.

The Galaxy Z Flip comes with 256GB of built-in UFS 3.0 storage, the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a stunning 6.7-inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED display with HDR10+ support.

Samsung failed once again to detail the Galaxy Home Mini at Unpacked

If the Galaxy S20 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip were the stars of Unpacked yesterday then the Galaxy Home Mini was the exact opposite of that. It wasn’t even showcased at the event. What makes this an even odder turn of events is that the Galaxy Home Mini is technically ready for the market, to the point where Samsung offers it as a pre-order incentive for Galaxy S20 buyers in South Korea. Yet, for whatever reason, Samsung appears to be reluctant to make an official announcement for the global market.

The Galaxy Home Mini is not yet available for purchase but despite this, it already has a bit of a tumultuous history. Perhaps no more than the original Galaxy Home which was showcased nearly two years ago and has completely gone quiet in the meantime. Nevertheless, it’s been almost a year since the Galaxy Home Mini picked up its Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and FCC certificates, and roughly six months since the smart speaker entered beta testing in South Korea. Throughout all this time, Samsung failed to give us a complete and clear picture of what the Galaxy Home Mini is capable of, and Unpacked in San Francisco feels like a missed opportunity in this regard.

Ultimately, Samsung’s smart speaker will eventually make it in the hands of consumers, in South Korea at the very least. But at this point, even if it will launch worldwide, it’s difficult to imagine Samsung making a big deal out of it given that it completely missed the chance to formally introduce the product at Unpacked. It’s a bit of a shame, and it’s almost as if Samsung isn’t confident enough in its creation, but perhaps the product itself will make up for its problematic launch.

Samsung’s new car charger supports 45W super fast charging

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is the second flagship phone from Samsung that supports 45W super fast charging, while 25W fast charging has become standard on the company’s flagships since the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ were released. Samsung has unveiled a couple of new 25W power banks alongside the Galaxy S20 series, and it turns out the company will soon be releasing a car charger with 45W charging support as well.

Called Dual & Super Fast Car Charger (yeah, the name’s a mouthful), this car charger has two USB ports: one is a standard USB port that outputs 15W of power, and the other is a USB-C port that outputs 45W. The charger will come with a 5A USB-C to USB-C wire that’s necessary for 45W charging (the same wire also comes bundled with Samsung’s 45W wall charger). Naturally, the charger will charge devices like the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S20 and S20+ at 25W.

It’s great to see Samsung is finally making these accessories. The Galaxy Note 10+ refuses to charge at even 25W with most third-party chargers, and until now, Samsung wasn’t providing any first-party options. Samsung isn’t revealing the release date or pricing for the 45W car charger or its new 25W portable chargers just yet, but we assume they will go on sale around the same time the Galaxy S20 series hits retail stores.

Galaxy Home Mini is offered as a Galaxy S20 pre-order bonus in Korea

Samsung offers the new Galaxy Buds+ for free with every Galaxy S20 pre-order in some markets, which is a pretty great deal. But as it turns out, Samsung has prepared other incentives in other countries, particularly in South Korea, where the company has chosen to give away the Galaxy Home Mini smart speaker as a pre-order incentive for its latest flagship phones.

The Galaxy Home Mini is one of Samsung’s most elusive products in recent years. It’s been teased and showcased at trade shows before, and it was even beta-tested in South Korea last year. Despite this, the Galaxy Home Mini is still dodging a global release, but at least the wait is seemingly over in Samsung’s home country.

Oddly enough, the Galaxy Home Mini is not the only pre-order incentive for the Galaxy S20 series in South Korea. Customers who might not want the smart speaker can choose a different pre-order bonus, namely a Nemonic sticky note printer. This product is not new. It was conceived as a C-Lab project a few years ago and was showcased by startup Mangoslab at CES 2017. It was previously offered as a pre-order incentive for the Galaxy Note 8 in South Korea.

Are you planning to pre-purchase the Galaxy S20? What pre-order bonuses are there available in your region? Would you have preferred a free Galaxy Home Mini over a free pair of Galaxy Buds+?

AT&T’s Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip prices and release date revealed

AT&T is one of the first major US carriers to announce that it will sell both the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Z Flip on its network. The Galaxy Z Flip will go on sale from the carrier on February 14 for a full price of $1380 and for $46 per month on AT&T’s 30-month installment plan. The Galaxy S20 series will be up for pre-order from February 21 and AT&T will start selling it in stores from March 6, same as T-Mobile and Verizon.

As expected, all three Galaxy S20 models come with 5G support on AT&T. The Galaxy S20 5G will cost you $33.34 per month if you opt for a 30-month plan and $999 if you prefer to pay the full price. The 128GB and 512GB Galaxy S20+ will cost $40 and $45 monthly for 30 months and $1,199 and $1,349 respectively outright. The Galaxy S20 Ultra starts at $46.67 monthly for the 128GB model and goes up to $53.34 for the 512GB model (which has 16GB of RAM). The full price for the 128GB and 512GB models is $1,399 and $1,599 respectively.

For a limited time, those who trade-in an eligible device, port-in a new line and opt for AT&T’s Unlimited Extra and Unlimited Elite plans will get up to $1000 credit, which they can use to purchase a Galaxy S20 for free, the Galaxy S20+ for $200, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra for $400. Those who don’t port-in will get up to $500 of credit, which also be used to purchase one of the new Galaxy S20 smartphones.

Here’s how much storage one minute of Galaxy S20’s 8K videos will use

The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra are the first smartphones ever to support 8K video recording. 8K videos are going to offer a lot of detail, so much so that you will be able to extract 33MP stills from them. Of course, that also means they will need more space, and we now have an official figure of how big these videos will be.

Each 8K video will take around 600 MB of storage per minute

According to Samsung, one minute of 8K video on a Galaxy 20 will have a file size of 600 MB. On a Galaxy S10+, a minute of 4K video takes around 340 to 350 MB of space, and since 8K videos have double the resolution of 4K videos, the 600 MB per minute figure isn’t very surprising. And, because of the space and processing power required for 8K video recording, the Galaxy S20 will only record a maximum of 5 minutes per video.

Furthermore, each 8K video will be shot at 24 frames per second, which is the industry standard for Hollywood movies as well (though higher frame rates have been used in some movies, such as The Hobbit). Naturally, there’s no option to record 8K videos at 60 fps on the Galaxy S20, as both the Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865 can only go up to 30 fps for 8K videos.

Here’s how much Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra will cost on Verizon

Last year, Verizon was the exclusive seller of the Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G for the first few months. In 2020, with the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy 20 Ultra all featuring 5G connectivity as standard in the United States, Verizon won’t have the same advantage. In fact, Verizon will not even be launching the Galaxy S20 initially, only the Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Why? Well, it is because the smallest of the Galaxy S20 models does not support mmWave 5G networks, only sub-6GHz 5G networks. mmWave 5G support requires two discrete antenna modules around the frame of a device, and the Galaxy S20 apparently didn’t have enough space inside to accommodate those antennas. Verizon says that it will launch a Galaxy S20 model that supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G networks in Q2 2020, though Samsung has not said anything about such a variant being in the works.

As far as the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra are concerned, both handsets support mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G networks and will be up for pre-order from Verizon starting February 21 and available in-store from March 6. Pricing for the S20+ will start at $49.99 per month for the carrier’s 24-month payment plan and at $58.33 for the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Verizon has also revealed Galaxy S20 pricing even though it’s not launching that model right now: it will cost $41.66 per month.

Verizon hasn’t revealed the prices for those who want to buy the phones outright, but they are likely to cost the same as the unlocked models: $999 for the Galaxy S20, $1,199 for the Galaxy S20+, and $1,399 for the Galaxy S20 Ultra. These prices are for the base variants with 128GB of storage, all of which come with 12GB of RAM.

Samsung quietly lists 25W fast charging power banks on its website

Along with its brand new flagship smartphones, Samsung has also unveiled a bunch of accessories that go with well with its newer devices, including the Galaxy Buds+ truly wireless earphones, a bunch of cases and covers, and two new 25W fast charging power banks.

The South Korean smartphone giant has quietly listed two new power banks on its website. The first power bank is called 25W Wireless Battery Pack, and it has a battery capacity of 10,000mAh. It has two USB Type-C ports that let you charge a compatible smartphone with up to 25 watts of power via the USB PD standard. There’s Qi wireless charging, too, so you can charge your phone, smartwatch, or wireless earphones by just placing them on top of the power bank. It passed through FCC certification two months ago.

Samsung has also listed the 25W Battery Pack on its website. It has 10,000mAh battery capacity and supports wired charging at 25W for compatible smartphones. It has two USB Type-C ports but there’s no wireless charging on this model. The company has mentioned that the two power banks don’t support 25W fast charging when two devices are being charged at the same time.

Pricing and availability of the company’s two new battery packs have not been revealed yet, but we expect them to go on sale alongside the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra as Samsung is listing them on its official website in various countries.

Galaxy S20 Ultra has Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is the most feature-packed of the three Galaxy S20 models. From a 108MP camera and 100x zoom capabito 16GB of RAM, the Galaxy S20 Ultra has a lot more to offer than the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+, and we have now learned that the Ultra model is special in another way.

Samsung tells us that the Galaxy S20 Ultra uses Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back and is the first Galaxy phone to do so. The Galaxy S10 series was the first from Samsung to use Gorilla Glass 6, but only at the front. The same goes for the Galaxy S20 and S20+, which use Gorilla Glass 5 at the back like the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10.

Gorilla Glass 6 is up to two times more durable than Gorilla Glass 5 and can survive more drops and from higher heights. Corning’s official tests claim it can survive up to 15 drops from a one meter height, though the scratch resistance remains the same as Gorilla Glass 5 so the Galaxy S20 Ultra will stick pick up marks on the back if you use it without a case.

Of course, we wouldn’t recommend using the Galaxy S20 Ultra without a case considering how expensive it is. It is priced at $1399 for the base variant, which has 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and $1549 for the variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. But it does justify the price tag based on our initial impressions, which you can read about here.

First Galaxy S20 Ultra TV commercial is all about the camera

The Galaxy S20 is official, and over the next couple of weeks, Samsung will be spending a lot of money on marketing its new flagship phones through various ads and commercials. To kick things off, Samsung has published the first television commercial for the Galaxy S20 Ultra. And, as you would expect, the commercial is all about the phone’s cameras.

The same commercial was also the one Samsung used to introduce the Galaxy S20 Ultra at its Unpacked launch, and it talks about how the S20 Ultra will introduce a new chapter in smartphone photography in 2020. The video highlights the phone’s support for 8K video recording and how you can capture 33-megapixel stills from 8K videos, along with the 100x Space Zoom capability. In the end, Samsung also throws in a mention of how the Galaxy S20 Ultra is 5G-ready for ultra fast sharing of pictures and videos.

The commercial can be seen below. Don’t forget to check out our hands-on impressions of the Galaxy S20 Ultra and of the Galaxy S20 and S20+. Also tell us which of the three models you will be picking up when they go on sale.

This GIF shows a perfect use case for the Galaxy Z Flip’s Flex mode

Samsung has captured a major lead over the competition in the foldables segment by launching its second foldable device, the Galaxy Z Flip. The Z Flip isn’t just a foldable phone with a flip phone form factor, it’s a foldable phone with an amazing trick up its sleeve: The display on this phone can open up at many angles instead of just snapping fully open and fully shut.

Earlier today, Samsung published highlights of the Unpacked 2020 event, and part of those highlights is a GIF that perfectly encapsulates how useful the Galaxy Z Flip’s ability to stay open at an angle can be. The GIF shows one of Samsung’s presenters plopping the phone down with the screen open at a 90-degree angle, moving away from it, and then using the palm gesture to take a selfie.

When the Z Flip is opened this way, it goes into what Samsung calls Flex mode, and as seen in the GIF, the top half of the screen acts as the viewfinder while the bottom half holds all the camera controls. The bottom half can also be used to browse through photos in the gallery, and since Flex mode was designed in partnership with Google, a lot more apps could be taking advantage of the feature in the near future.

Check out the GIF below, and don’t forget to read our hands-on review to find out how Samsung has outdone itself with this device.

India to get 4G variants of Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip

Samsung unveiled four new high-end smartphones during the Unpacked 2020 event a few hours ago. Now, the company has listed all of them on its website for the Indian market. It should be noted that only 4G LTE variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra will make it to India, which seems logical.

Earlier, it was being rumored that the Galaxy S20 Ultra could be available only in a 5G variant. However, for markets like India where 5G networks are not yet available, it appears that Samsung has decided to disable 5G connectivity. Moreover, it is now confirmed that India will get the Exynos 990 variants of the Galaxy S20 series phones. If you were wondering, there is no 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip anywhere in the world.

The South Korean smartphone giant has put up a pre-registration page for all its newly announced smartphones. Interested consumers in India can now register themselves to receive important information such as pre-order dates, launch dates, offers, and pricing of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip. Indian pricing of the phones hasn’t been revealed yet.

Samsung has also listed the Galaxy Buds+ in three colors: black, sky blue, and white. Galaxy S20 cases listed on the website include the Smart LED View Cover, Smart Clear View Cover, Leather Cover, Silicone Cover, Smart LED Cover, Protective Standing Cover, and the Kvadrat Cover.
