Facer Daily Mix serves up a free watch face for your Gear S3 every day

Facer launched its watch face platform for the Gear S2 and Gear S3 in December last year. Today, it announced the launch of a new feature called Daily Mix. Facer says that it’s “like a slot machine for watch faces.” Daily Mix serves up free watch faces every day for the Gear S2 and Gear S3.

Gear S2 and Gear S3 owners who use Facer can pick one out of the ten random watch faces that Daily Mix recommends them every day. Users don’t have to worry about repetition because Facer has a library of more than 20,000 watches and the library grows with each passing day.

This really is for you if you like changing your smartwatch’s watch face often. You can choose from a new selection of 10 unique watch faces every single day and pick the one that you like the most. The best part is that they’re all free.

Users can access their Daily Mix by triple tapping on their smartwatch. They get 10 free tokens and each spins counts as one token and brings up a free watch face. This makes the process of finding and installing new watch faces very easy as you don’t need to look for your phone or install other watch face applications.

Samsung Pay pilot goes live in Taiwan ahead of full launch this month

Samsung has been expanding the reach of its mobile payments service in more markets across the globe. As it gears up to launch the service in France and the United Kingdom, the company has also launched a pilot program for Samsung Pay in Taiwan. The service will properly be launched in Taiwan later this month.

The company is going to team up with several financial institutions at launch, including the Union Bank of Taiwan, E.Sun Bank, Taishin International Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered, Cathay United Bank and Taipei Fubon Bank.

More banks will join the list in the coming days once Samsung Pay’s official launch date for Taiwan is confirmed. The launch is expected to take place on May 23.

Samsung is likely to see a good response for its mobile payments service in the country. That’s because its smartphones were top sellers in the country last year. They account for over 22 percent of Taiwan’s smartphone market.

Once Samsung Pay is live in the country, those who own compatible devices like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S7 will be able to make payments effortlessly using their mobile devices. They’ll just need to bring their phone near the POS and Samsung Pay will handle the rest.

Verizon rolls out April security patch for the Galaxy Note 5

Verizon is now pushing out last month’s security patch for the Galaxy Note 5. As outlined on the firm’s Security Blog, the upgrade — N920VVRS3CQD1 — addresses a total of 49 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the Android OS and an additional 16 patches for Galaxy-branded smartphones.

As is usually the case with these things, the update is making the rounds in stages and seeing as it has to reach quite a few devices, it could be a while before it arrives on your Galaxy Note 5. To see if the OTA is ready, open up Settings, then select the relevant option from the Software Update section.
