Galaxy S10e has now been completely revealed by these leaked images

While we have seen leaked live images of the other Galaxy S10 models, there haven’t been many for the Galaxy S10e. That changes today. Several images have leaked online which show off the Galaxy S10e in all its glory. Samsung’s cheaper flagship model has now been completely revealed.

There are some pretty evident security watermarks on the device in these images. Whoever this device belongs to will likely find themselves in a spot of bother with Samsung. This isn’t the sort of thing that Samsung would take lightly.

Galaxy S10e leaked in all its glory

Nevertheless, we now have our first good look at the cheapest Galaxy S10 model. As expected it has a flat 5.8-inch Infinity-O display. The front camera cutout is almost 0.5mm and not that different from the one on the Galaxy A8s.

Consequently, there’s a chunky status bar because the camera cutout is so big. This leaves quite a bit of white space between the status bar and the notification shade. I’m guessing this is one of those things that many users will be quite vocal about once they get the device. We can also see in these images that the device will indeed be called the Galaxy S10e as mentioned in earlier reports. It has One UI which is unsurprising.

This device will have the same processor as the other models but with just 6GB RAM and 128GB storage only. It will also have a dual camera system instead of the triple cameras on the Galaxy S10 and S10+. The PowerShare reverse wireless charging feature will not be present as well.

We’ve exclusively confirmed that the Galaxy S10e will be the only model to be available in Canary Yellow. Other colors will include black, green and white. It’s expected to cost around $850. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S10 lineup on February 20 in San Francisco with pre-orders slated to begin the following day.

You may be able to pre-order the Galaxy S10 on February 21

It’s common knowledge by now that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S10 on February 20 in San Francisco. The company was already expected to open up pre-orders the very next day. It appears that Samsung will indeed allow you to pre-order the Galaxy S10 on February 21.

Reports have suggested that Samsung will release the handsets on March 8. That’s when pre-order customers will receive their shipments and retail customers will be able to walk out of a store with one.

Pre-order Galaxy S10 starting February 21

A promotional poster for the Galaxy S10 launch event has been spotted in Indonesia which reveals more information than what Samsung has provided in the west. It mentions that “pre-order starts 22 February 2019.”

You’re probably confused why the Unpacked event date on this poster is February 21. Take a look at the time, the event will be at 2 AM local time. That means it would be 11 AM, February 20 in San Francisco. That is precisely the time Samsung’s event kicks off. Consequently, the February 22 pre-order date for Indonesia means that customers in the west will be able to pre-order Galaxy S10 on the very next day after the event.

This poster also has a link to the http://bit.ly/1cZ8u3W website. There’s nothing on there yet except a time which is counting down to the event. It’s a local site from Samsung Indonesia where fans can register to receive more information about the device when it’s announced. There wasn’t any concern that Samsung would make fans wait a few days to pre-order Galaxy S10 after the event. Nonetheless, this poster is reassuring.

Samsung will be unveiling three models of the new flagship in San Francisco. They include a cheaper Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+.

[Poll] What if Samsung removes the bezel ring from its smartwatches?

Samsung may soon be removing one of its most innovative contributions to the smartwatch segment. Rotating bezel rings have long been part of regular watches, and when Samsung started making round smartwatches, it introduced a bezel ring for navigating the user interface. It was a neat alternative to the digital crown on the Apple Watch, and fans of Samsung’s smartwatches fell in love with the bezel ring. But it looks like the bezel ring may be getting an axe this year, if leaked renders of the upcoming Gear Sport successor are anything to go by.

Now, such renders shouldn’t be taken as a 100 percent approximation of the real thing, but the Galaxy Watch Active renders we have seen so far are a cause for concern. The renders show a pretty smooth bezel on the watch, and it just doesn’t look like the bezel can be rotated. Again, it’s not a good idea to come to conclusions based on leaked renders, but we may have to prepare ourselves for the possibility that Samsung will be removing the rotating bezel ring from its smartwatches this year.

Galaxy Sport colors

Perhaps the company will only do it for the fitness-focused Gear Sport lineup to differentiate its from its mainstream Galaxy Watch lineup, although that wouldn’t make a lot of sense as far as consistency across products is concerned. What do you think? Could Samsung be moving to touch-only interaction for its smartwatches? If yes, would you be okay with that change or, coupled with the lack of apps on Samsung’s Tizen platform, would it finally drive you towards an Android Wear smartwatch?

Sound off in the comments and also vote in the poll below to let us know your opinion!

Samsung Galaxy M series coming to Indonesia on February 14

Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy M series in India last week to take on the burgeoning Chinese OEMs in the budget segment. The company launched the Galaxy M10 and M20 under the new lineup and is expected to add more models in the coming months. The two devices, which went on sale today on Amazon India exclusively, seems to have been received well by the customers so far.

Now that the Indian launch is done with, Samsung is gearing up to bring the new series to other markets as hinted by the company previously. Indonesia seems to be next in line to get the Galaxy M devices if we go by the information put out by a couple of online retailers in the country. JD Indonesia and Lazada Indonesia have created marketing pages for the Galaxy M20, mentioning the launch date as February 14. All the marketing material here is focused on the Galaxy M20, casting doubts about the availability of the M10 in the country.

Russia and UAE to get it as well

Along with Indonesia, the Galaxy M series will also be available in UAE and Russia in the coming weeks or months. Though we don’t have a date or an official confirmation on this, we have seen M20 firmware for these regions, indicating its imminent launch in these markets. You can expect the Galaxy M models to launch in additional markets in the near future.

The Galaxy M series is Samsung’s latest attempt to reclaim its eroded appeal in the budget segment. As we noted in our Galaxy M20 review, the new series looks modern on the outside while being a capable performer on the inside. More importantly, Samsung has got the pricing the right this time, making them compelling options in the budget segment.

Latest leaked render reveals three Galaxy Sport colors

A couple of Galaxy Sport renders have already leaked online and there’s a new one today. It reveals at least three Galaxy Sport colors which customers will be able to pick up once this device goes on sale.

The render we saw yesterday had a brushed metal finish. It also didn’t have a fluted or toothed bezel as expected. That design element is missing from this render as well, suggesting that Samsung might have done away with it.

Galaxy Sport colors revealed in leaked renders

The render shows that the Galaxy Sport colors will include black, teal-ish green and rose gold. The finish extends to the buckle as well with a matching strap. It doesn’t betray much about the features of this new smartwatch but they will understandably be fitness-focused. The Galaxy Sport takes the baton from the Gear Sport, after all.

We see yet again that the rotating bezel appears to be missing from this smartwatch. Samsung fans have loved that design element. Not only did it look good but it was a breeze for navigating through the UI as well. The two buttons that we see on the right side may now do the bulk of the heavy lifting. Samsung will thus have to tweak the software as well to account for the lack of a rotating bezel.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed when we can expect this wearable device to arrive. Some suggest that the company might unveil it on February 20 alongside the Galaxy S10. It will already have much to talk about at the event as the foldable phone is also set to be unveiled there. So this leaves the possibility that Samsung might unveil the Gear Sport at MWC 2019 in the last week of February.

Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ models reveal boxy design in new video

There have been quite a few leaked renders and images of Samsung’s upcoming flagship so far. Now, there’s a video highlighting the design in detail with dummy Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ models.

These dummy models are used by case manufacturers to prepare their products ahead of the handset’s launch. That’s why we see so many device renders from case manufacturers. They’re most likely based on the CAD renders that surface online a few months before the launch.

Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ dummy models show a boxy design

Noted tech YouTuber MKBHD has put up a video in which he discusses the potential design changes of the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+ based on these dummy models. He’s right in observing that the Galaxy S10 models appear more like mini Galaxy Note handsets. That’s because the curves have been reduced in favor of a more boxy design that has always been the hallmark of the Galaxy Note series.

The single and dual front cameras on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ are represented on these dummy models as well. All three Galaxy S10 models will feature an Infinity-O display which puts the front camera inside the active display area. As we’ve pointed out previously, Samsung has also gone with a sleek design for the earpiece.

These dummy models also show triple rear cameras on both Galaxy S10 models. That’s something we saw in the recently leaked official renders as well. Earlier rumors had claimed that the triple camera system would only be available on the Galaxy S10+. The actual devices will largely be similar to what we see here as these dummy models are in line with the expectations that we have so far.

We’ll find out soon enough what the Galaxy S10 series looks like in real life. Samsung will be unveiling the handset on February 20 in San Francisco.
