October 2021 security update is live for Galaxy Tab S7 in more markets

The October 2021 security patch keeps reaching more Galaxy devices as we get closer to the end of the month, and Samsung is now bringing the update to the Galaxy Tab S7 series in more markets.

The update carries firmware version T97xxXXU2BUJ3, and it’s been rolling out in Korea since mid-October. It was also released for the Galaxy Tab S7 5G series in Germany a couple of weeks ago, and now the same update is reaching the non-5G variants in more markets, starting with India.

The official changelog doesn’t mention anything else besides improved stability and security, but the firmware version suggests that the update should include at least some enhancements beyond the October security patch. Samsung detailed the update a couple of weeks ago. It addresses dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities affecting Android OS and Samsung’s own software.

Galaxy Tab S7 users can attempt to download the latest update from the Software update menu inside the Settings app. Alternatively, they can visit our firmware database and download the update for their specific market and device before installing it manually using a Windows PC.

Samsung will also release a 5G variant of the Galaxy Book Pro to accompany the ongoing Wi-Fi-only model. It will be available online from November 11 at Samsung and BestBuy for the starting price of $1,399.99.

More importantly, Samsung is finally bringing the high-end Galaxy Book Odyssey to the USA, starting November 11. Customers will be able to pick it up in Mystic Black for the starting price of $1,399.99.

The Galaxy Book Odyssey has a 15.6-inch LED FHD display, an Intel Core i7-11600H CPU, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti Max-Q GPU. It will be available for purchase with 8GB/16GB/32GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB of built-in storage.

Samsung’s latest foldable, smart wearables, QLED TVs get big price drops

Samsung’s running a few deals at its online store in the USA, and thanks to this, prospective buyers can save on some of the company’s latest technologies, from foldable phones to smart wearables or a Neo QLED TV.

Bespoke is the new buzzword after Galaxy Unpacked 2, but if you wouldn’t mind owning the standard Galaxy Z Flip 3 in a plain color, the 256GB model is available at a $100 discount ($949), which places it under the 128GB variant in terms of pricing.

The standard Galaxy Z Flip 3 is identical to the Bespoke Edition in terms of hardware. It doesn’t have nearly as many colors as the newest edition, but it’s functionally the same.

New deals on Samsung smart wearables

The Galaxy Watch 4 series is arguably the best we’ve seen from Samsung yet, and even though the smartwatch duo is technically brand-new, the company’s already prepared a few attractive discounts. And if you’re a fan of custom designs, you can use the Bespoke Studio and enjoy the same reduced prices.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s only wireless earbuds with ANC and an open design now cost $40 less. The Galaxy Buds Live earbuds go for $129.99 with this new deal, which is what the newer Galaxy Buds 2 cost without a discount. But the Galaxy Buds Live are certainly unique.

Save $1,000+ on Samsung Neo QLED 4K (2021) TVs

It’s a big leap from smartphones and wearables to TVs, in terms of screen size at least, but if you’re in the market for a new 4K smart TV that has a bezel-less design and tons of smart features, you can now save a few hundred dollars or even more on the Neo QLED (QH85A, QN90A) TV lineup introduced earlier this year.

The QN85A series is available at discounts between $500 and $1,500, depending on the size of the TV. Similarly, QN90A-series customers can save anywhere between $200 and $1,700.

Dark red will not be the only fancy Galaxy S22 Ultra color option

The Galaxy S22 series is expected to be unveiled in January 2022, but most of its features have been leaked already. Even the design and color-related information of the smartphone lineup has been revealed. A new report now claims that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will come in one more fancy color.

According to the information from our friends at GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in a green color variant as well. However, it is still unclear whether it will be similar to the Awesome Mint color of the Galaxy A52 or the Phantom Green like the Galaxy Z Fold 3. In total, it looks like the smartphone will be available in at least four colors: Black, Dark Red, Green, and White.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is rumored to feature a 6.8-inch LTPO Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with QHD+ resolution, HDR10+, a 120Hz refresh rate, and S Pen compatibility. It is expected to come with a dedicated S Pen slot, just like Galaxy Note series smartphones. The device will have a 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and two 10MP/12MP telephoto cameras.

In most markets, the phone will come equipped with the Exynos 2200 processor (Snapdragon 898 in the US). The Exynos chipset features AMD’s Radeon Mobile GPU based on the RDNA2 architecture that supports ray-tracing and variable rate shading. It has already been revealed that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 5,000mAh battery and support for 45W fast charging.
