Galaxy S6 edge Malaysian model to come in 64GB variant

Samsung’s been known for offering a microSD card slot with its various smartphone lineups, but the company decided to transition into a more conservative mode this year. The Korean manufacturer did increase the base storage of the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge, but you’ll pay $50 more for double the storage as compared to the $599+ price tag offering for last year’s Galaxy S5. Look on the bright side, customers: you could spend another $100 for double the storage, like some other famous smartphone brand requires of its users (the name of the company will just stay between us).

In any case, Malaysian residents waiting to hear about higher-storage models will be pleased to know that the Galaxy S6 edge has been announced as having a 64GB variant available for residents in the country. The 64GB Galaxy S6 edge will cost RM3,599 which includes the Goods and Services Tax (or GST). Your choice of colors for the variant will be Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and White Pearl. We can’t tell you which color to choose, but we’ll say this: “gold” rushes exist for a reason.

Get your currency ready, as Samsung Malaysia says you’ll have to wait until mid-May to get your hands on the 64GB “hot potato.” Have you gone ahead and made the jump to the 32GB Galaxy S6 edge, or is the 64GB your storage sweet spot? Would you still want a 128GB model despite the announcement regarding a 64GB model? You know what to do in the comments.
