If you thought that the company chooses some random wallpapers, think again. Samsung has explained its theory behind the wallpaper selection for each Galaxy S series smartphone launched till now.
Apparently, the default wallpaper on the Galaxy S was chosen in such a way that it displayed detailed textures, highlighting the Super AMOLED display’s capabilities. The wallpaper on the Galaxy S II symbolized strong performance and improved software, while the Galaxy S III’s wallpapers were nature-themed to match the device’s tagline ‘Designed for Humans’. The wallpapers on the Galaxy S4 tried to showcase happy moments in life, while the Galaxy S5 wallpapers were inspired by a diamond surface.
Coming to the latest Galaxy S launch from the South Korean smartphone giant, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge wallpapers depict the futuristic and fluidic design of these devices. This infographic also reminds us that Samsung’s Android smartphone offerings have come a long way since their initial days, bringing in massive improvement generation after generation.
