[Poll] Are you importing the Galaxy Note 5, or opting for the Galaxy S6 edge+?

The Galaxy Note 5 went official a bit earlier than each Note flagship does following its predecessor, but as many of us Note fans found out, Samsung has no plans to launch the phablet anywhere except the US, Canada and a couple of Asian markets. Many of those fans probably didn’t feel too bad, as the Note 5 does away with a removable battery and expandable storage, while also sporting a smaller battery than the Galaxy Note 4. But for the rest of us, it’s rather disappointing that we won’t be able to buy the latest and greatest in Samsung’s revolutionary product lineup unless we’re residing in one of the aforementioned markets.

For most of the global market, Samsung is pitching the Galaxy S6 edge+ as the next big thing as far as large-screen smartphones are concerned. The S6 edge+ is a larger version of a device that was already excellent, but as a die-hard Note fan would tell you, it can’t get anywhere near the productivity of the Note lineup and the S Pen. It will be attracting the attention of passers-by thanks to those stunning curves, but you won’t be able to take out a stylus and start jotting down something without the need to turn on the device or do any of the other things a Note will let you do.

For those that were hoping to pick up the Note 5, importing the device is pretty much going to be the only option available for the foreseeable future, unless they’re ready to settle with the beautiful but ultimately less functional Galaxy S6 edge+ or sticking to whatever smartphone they’re rocking right now.

We pose this question to all those Galaxy Note lovers that haven’t been turned away by the removable of some traditional features and aren’t living in the Note 5′s launch markets: What route are you taking in order to get your hands on the device? Will you be importing it from a country where the phone will be officially available, opting for the S6 edge+, or simply skipping an upgrade from your current device?
