Samsung’s S Health app now compatible with non-Samsung smartphones and tablets

Samsung has officially ported its health tracking app to every other smartphone device and not just their own with an update. S Health helps you keep track of daily activities, including things like heart rate, stress levels and calorie intake, and it will now work with non-Galaxy smartphones on Android 4.4 and above. This move is no doubt related to the launch of the Gear S2, which will also work with non-Samsung phones and tablets.

The update also opens up S Health to all Samsung phones after the Galaxy S III, and we can’t wait to see what other Samsung apps will start working with general Android devices in the future. Download the latest version of S Health from the source link, and if you’re using a smartphone from another manufacturer, let us know how the app works on your device down in the comments section!
