TripCase first launched rich notification support for Samsung’s first Tizen-powered smartwatch the Gear S and at that time the company said it was working on a full-fledged app for Samsung’s Tizen smartwatches. With Samsung unveiling the Gear S2 earlier this month it’s a good time for TripCase to follow through on its promise, TripCase has announced that it’s full travel app will soon be available for the Gear S2.
With TripCase for the Gear S2 you will be able to view upcoming trip items right from the smartwatch either by glancing at the custom-design watchface or by launching the app. It’s capable of displaying a map of your destination and a convenient “Remember This Place” feature that lets you store precise locations where you might want to go back again. Since this is a companion app for TripCase on Android all data between the phone and the Gear S2 will be automatically synced at all times so when you jump between the two devices you don’t have to start from scratch. TripCase will continue to deliver free real-time travel notifications like it already does, the app itself will be released when the Gear S2 arrives this fall.
