Samsung is expected to announce the successor to the Galaxy S6 during MWC 2016, and there have been plenty of leaks revealing information about the features and specifications of the device. However, this is the first time when alleged renders of the Galaxy S7 and its large-screen variant have surfaced on the Internet.
A third-party accessory maker ITSkins claims that it got hold of renders of the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Plus along with their accurate dimensions. After looking at these renders, you can definitely say that the design resembles the Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S7 will allegedly measure 143.37 x 70.8 x 6.94 mm, while the Galaxy S7 Plus would measure 163.32 x 82.01 x 7.82 mm.
Apparently, the Galaxy S7 Plus will feature a 6.0-inch display, but we find that hard to believe. We believe that these renders are fake since there’s no USB Type C port, something that we revealed in our exclusive story about the Galaxy S7. Moreover, the home button is atypical of Samsung, and appears too small to contain a fingerprint sensor.
It appears from these renders that the SIM card slot has been moved from the top in the Galaxy S6 to the side of the device in the Galaxy S7. The device is expected to feature Exynos 8890 chipset with Samsung’s own custom CPU design (or a Snapdragon 820 chipset in some regions), 4GB RAM, an improved camera sensor, USB Type-C connector, and possibly a microSD card slot.
