It is being reported by Reuters that Samsung is open to all possible options to grow its home appliances business including mergers and acquisitions. The company’s Chinese rival Haier Group recently acquired General Electric’s appliances business, but Suh Byung-sam, who heads Samsung’s appliances business, mentioned that the acquisition won’t have any serious impact on Samsung.
Samsung is trying to grow its home appliances business by all means. It recently unveiled the Family Hub Refrigerator with a giant 21.5-inch touchscreen system, its new washing machines with ActiveWash, Wi-Fi-connected cooktop ranges and POWERbot vacuum cleaners at CES 2016. The company is rooting for IoT features in its home appliances for a smart, connected home.
