Samsung mobile chief positive about a sales turnaround in China

Samsung has made some noise in the mobile industry with the announcements of the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. The company however has been a little behind in the Chinese markets where it now stands in the sixth place behind regional players. However, the company’s newly appointed mobile chief, DJ Koh is positive that the worst is over.

Speaking with the media for the first time since being appointed mobile chief, Koh said that its business has “stabilized” in China and will soon show signs of a turnaround, despite the dominance of regional players like Huawei and Xiaomi. With the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge already showing promise, the company can hope to make serious inroads in the Chinese market. The company should also release more mid-range and budget devices for the market to drive its marketshare forward.
