Canadian carrier Bell is yet to send out the Android 6.0 update to Samsung’s 2015 Galaxy flagships. The carrier has now offered a vague timeline for the rollout of the update, but only for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy Note 5. Bell gave out the information in response to a couple of user queries on Twitter. Given that the carrier has mentioned both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy Note 5, it’s safe to assume that the Galaxy S6 edge and the Galaxy S6 edge+ will also get the update at about the same time.
Bell has merely mentioned that “Marshmallow will be released in March 2016″, so there’s still no concrete word available on when that will be. But knowing that we’re already in the second week of March, the wait shouldn’t be too long from now. Fellow Canadian carrier Telus recently announced that it would delay the Android 6.0 update for the Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5.
Over in the US, Verizon recently became the first carrier to update the Galaxy Note 5 to Android 6.0. If you are still waiting for the update, you can check out our hands-on of Marshmallow on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge to see what changes are included in the latest iteration of Android.
