Samsung Pay consumer satisfaction is higher than Apple Pay

Samsung Pay and Apple Pay have been around for a year and both compete with each other in the United States. Samsung’s mobile payment service fares better because it can work with conventional credit card machines as well while Apple Pay can not. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why the Auriemma Consulting Group finds in its research that Samsung Pay consumer satisfaction is higher than Apple Pay.

The research was conducted using Mobile Pay Tracker which analyzed more than 2,000 customers in the United States. The research found that 92 percent of Samsung Pay users were satisfied with the payment service as opposed to 84 percent with Apple Pay. Apple Pay users were found to spend an average of $75 per week while Samsung Pay users spend around $82 per week on average. “Samsung Pay outscores Apple Pay on a number of metrics,” noted Marianne Berry, ACG’s Payment Insights’ managing director, adding that “Some of this may be due to its newness, with most Samsung users reporting three months of experience compared to a year for Apple Pay.” Looks like all of the promotions Samsung is running to get new people on Samsung Pay are paying off.
