Ever-reliable tipster Evan Blass has today shone some light on yet another unannounced Samsung smartphone. This time, it appears we’re looking at thirteenth addition to the Galaxy J lineup. However, it doesn’t seem to carry the generic number branding that the Galaxy J1, Galaxy J2, Galaxy J3, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 do. Instead, it has simply been branded as the Galaxy J Max, and for good reason as the handset is rumored to sport an astonishingly large 7-inch display.
Now you’ve heard that the Galaxy J Max is set to feature a gigantic screen, you’re probably doubting its smartphone credentials as, lets face it, you won’t be able to fit this bad boy in your trouser pocket. Strangely, though, this smartphone-tablet hybrid is still primarily classified as a phone due to its purported dual-SIM capabilities and support for a broad range of International carrier bands, including GSM, HSDPA, and LTE.
Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the handset for now, and an expected release date remains unknown. However, it’s more than likely that we’ll be hearing a little more about this device as it undergoes all of the required tests to hit the shelves, including receiving both Bluetooth and FCC certification — so be sure to stay tuned to SamMobile for all the latest information.
