A metal unibody made its way to Samsung’s budget smartphone lineup with the Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime, which were launched as the Galaxy On5 (2016) and Galaxy On7 (2016) in China. Samsung now looks set to launch another affordable handset with a metal unibody – this one is dubbed Galaxy On Nxt, a teaser for which has been published by Samsung India on Indian retailer Flipkart’s website.
Samsung recently launched the Galaxy On8 in India, and it seems the company is not yet done flooding the market with budget phones that are all too similar to one another. The Galaxy On Nxt pretty much looks like the Galaxy J5/J7 Prime with only a slightly different camera module implementation, but it should be more affordable as Samsung’s On series is limited to online stores. When it comes to specs, the teaser tells us to expect an octa-core processor, and it is extremely likely the rest of the hardware will be the same as that on the Galaxy J7 Prime.
