We’ve known that Samsung has been working on a refreshed version of the Galaxy J3 for a while now. We first caught wind of the handset when it was imported into India for testing a little over a month ago, and now notorious leaker Evan Blass has taken to his Twitter profile to share a press render of the handset; giving us our best look at it to date.
Up until now, the only image we’d seen of the Galaxy J3 (2017) was a brief sketch that was included in the FCC fling. Fortunately, this latest render shines some light on the actual design of the device. As you can see from the picture below, it looks awfully similar to all of the firm’s other budget-friendly smartphones, with a home button and two capacitive buttons on the front.
If a recent Geekbench test is anything to go by, it looks like the Galaxy J3 (2017) will pack a 5-inch display, a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2,600mAh battery. It’s also expected to ship running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz custom user interface, and will likely come with 4G LTE connectivity that supports VoLTE.
