T-Mobile is rolling out a new software update on its network in the United States. The latest firmware release for the Galaxy J7 brings the December security patch. Samsung started rolling out this patch a few weeks ago and T-Mobile has finally dispatched it for the Galaxy J7 on its network. It’s a minor release which keeps the core Android OS at version 6.0.1 Marshmallow but brings additional improvements.
Magenta has now released software version J700TUVU2APK6 for the Galaxy J7. The update features the December security patch as well as domestic data roaming improvements and a fix for IPv4 over LTE international roaming.
Galaxy J7 owners on T-Mobile will soon receive an over-the-air notification informing them that an update is available for their device. Even though it’s a minor update it weighs in at just under 250MB. It may take some time for the update to be available in all regions of the United States as firmware is often rolled out in a phased manner.
