Samsung has been looking into the cause of the Galaxy Note 7 fires for a few months now. It launched a proper investigation into the matter after deciding to discontinue the device when it became evident that merely switching battery suppliers was not going to be enough to stop the handset from catching fire unexpectedly. According to a new report out of South Korea, Samsung has ended its Galaxy Note 7 investigation and that it’s going to make the findings public later this month.
“The task of finding the cause of the explosion has been completed recently,” said a Samsung Electronics official mentioned in the JoongAng Ilbo report, adding that the “relevant departments have begun preparations to release the results later this month.” The official didn’t say anything about the cause of the explosions since apparently only a few people in the company are aware of the true cause.
Samsung has previously promised to make the findings of its Galaxy Note 7 investigation public so that the company’s fans and customers can also know where it went wrong with what might have been its most successful handset.
