Galaxy S6 Nougat update released by Bell, BellMTS and Rogers

The Galaxy S6 Nougat update is now making its way to more users in Canada. Three major carriers in the country have now released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6. Bell, BellMTS and Rogers subscribers are now reporting that their carriers have started rolling out Nougat for the Galaxy S6.

Firmware version G920W8VLU5DQD1 is being rolled out for the Galaxy S6 in Canada. Other carriers such as Virgin Mobile, EastLink, Fido Mobile, Videotron and Globalive Wind Mobile have already released it for said device. The relevant firmware files for the Galaxy S6 on these carriers can be downloaded from our firmware section.

Some carriers have also released Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S6 edge. Firmware version G925W8VLU5DQD1 has been rolled out by several carriers, including but not limited to Fido Mobile, Rogers, Videotron, Bell, Sasktel, EastLink, Koodo Mobile, Telus and Virgin Mobile. The firmware files are available from our firmware section.
