After a recent update that brought May 2017 Android security patch to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ on T-Mobile and Sprint, a new update is being rolled out to the devices. This new update, which is now being rolled out to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ on T-Mobile’s and Verizon’s networks, brings support for Android Pay. There are some bug fixes and improvements to Wi-Fi calling and Visual Voicemail apps.
Galaxy S8 and S8+ users on T-Mobile’s and Verizon’s networks can now use Android Pay for easy, fast, and secure payments. Although Google’s mobile payment service competes with Samsung Pay, users get to choose which one suits them better. Android Pay allows users to add their credit, debit, gift, and loyalty cards for payments in physical and online stores as well as inside apps that support it.
Besides Android Pay, Verizon’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ get minor Bixby enhancements. Icons for reminders and Bixby Vision are now present on the top right corner of the screen, making it easier for users to access them. Verizon has also included a couple of bug fixes which should prevent the Samsung Notes app from crashing. There should be fewer Bluetooth disconnections when paired with the Gear S3.
