July security update now arriving on the Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has started rolling out this month’s security update for the Galaxy Note 4 in Europe, following its release for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ less than a week ago, which is impressive considering the handset is getting on for three-years-old.

The upgrade — N910FXXS1DQG5 — weighs in at around 200MB and transports patches for a total of 65 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the Android OS and 16 weaknesses in the firm’s Galaxy-branded smartphones.

Released back in 2014, the Galaxy Note 4 sports a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, an Exynos 5433/Snapdragon 805 CPU, 3GB of RAM, a 16MP rear-facing camera, a 3.7MP front-facing shooter and a 3,220mAh battery.
