Pricing for the Galaxy Note 8 could start at as much as CNY 6,288 ($942) for the base variant—6GB/64GB—and top out at CNY 7,988 ($1,200) for the long-rumored Emperor Edition, which should come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, in China, reports digital news outlet ITHome.
- 6GB/64GB — CNY 6,288 ($942)
- 6GB/128GB — CNY 7,088 ($1,062)
- 6GB/256GB — CNY 7,988 ($1,200)
There’s no telling whether the aforementioned prices will apply in Australia, Europe and South America, though we’re expecting something similar; potentially even steeper in the latter region. At least, that’s what a prediction by reliable tipster Evan Blass has led us to believe.

Recent leaks, rumors and speculation suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 will sport a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge Infinity Display, an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 CPU and at least a 3,300mAh battery. It should also ship running Android 7.1.1 Nougat skinned with Samsung’s Experience user interface.
To encourage potential customers to place an order, Samsung will reportedly offer several incentives: those who reserve a unit in the US will be able to choose either a 256GB microSD card, a convertible wireless charger or a Gear 360, while folk in Europe will receive a DeX dock.
