PSA: Samsung’s Video app is still alive and available for download

At some point in the last couple of years, Samsung decided that its consumers didn’t need a dedicated app for viewing all videos on their Galaxy device and stopped loading its proprietary Video app on devices by default. But did you know that video app still exists, gets regularly updated, and is alive and kicking on Google Play and Samsung’s Galaxy App store?

Many of you probably do, and now so does everyone else. The app’s available as Samsung Video Library on the Play Store and Galaxy Apps and lists all your device’s videos in one place, with the option to see them all in a single list or categorized based on the folders in your gallery. There’s also a search option, although this works based on file names and is very basic (and, therefore, not useful unless you are in the habit of renaming the videos you capture and store on your device).

If you take a lot of videos on your phone, the Video Library app can be very useful, so go ahead and download it from either the Play Store or Galaxy Apps, or via our APK database. It should be supported on most devices running Android 6.0 and above (although only Android 7.0 users will find it on the Play Store, others have to grab it through Galaxy Apps), and Samsung keeps adding support for more Galaxy phones and tablets through updates.
