What’s New With Android 8.0 Oreo Part 10: Lock screen clock updated

Last week, we documented a number of changes included in the Android 8.0 Oreo beta for the Galaxy S8—and now we have another one to add to our list: the Lock screen clock changes color to match the wallpaper you’re using.

The feature is far from perfect, though. It tends to use the same shade for any background that includes the slightest trace of blue. The same can be said for red. We’re confident, however, that Samsung will improve it in the future.

Sure, it’s not something you’re going to rush to try out—it doesn’t require any manual intervention to configure; set a wallpaper, then you’ll be good to go—but it’s always nice to see the firm introduce subtle changes to refine its interface.
